Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Why not bring our old mate Jake Mullaney back and give him his throne that was so rudely taken by tedesco. I mean hes only 27\. Havent heard a thing about him in so long, so im clueless whether he still plays or not or if he has been any good lately. Could also cover in the halves if need be.

Sounds like great logic to sign Mullaney.

That would solve all our problems…..not!!!!

From Fox sports
The Tigers will this week confirm both his and forward Matt Eisenhuth’s long- term future at the club into next season.

Good news if true both have been playing well. If true we must be up to 26 players out of 30 signed for next year

25 by my counting so 5 spots left.

5 spots
Hooker
Prop
Backrower
Fullback
Outside back

I'd be very surprised if we sign anyone else of note.

Same here. I reckon we are done and it's just a matter of rounding out the squad. How many players are left anyway.

The subject of the DT article was about cleary roster management. Cleary pointed out that has not done much recruiting since his first signing spree. Inferring there still more recruiting to be done. Also pascoe has tweeted we have not spent the cap yet or finalised top 30.

It's all well and good having cap and roster space, but whose available on the open market. Pickings are pretty slim.

There will always be some horse trading or forced fire sale activity and we are in a better position than most to strike

I would be sniffing around Richie Kennar and Brenko Lee from the dogs. Think both would definately challenge for a wing/centre position in 1st grade. Better taking guys like this, than the Morris brother who are on the downward slide towards the end of their careers.

Why do we need another hooker with Liddle and Mcilwrick (Emergency - JT can slot in).

Full back we have Lolo - Kev, Nofo, Thompson and Benji can cover in an injury situation.

Prop and backrower would be nice, granted. Not available at the moment, so let's wait for the right ones.

Outside back - we have Nofo, MWZ, Fonua, Thompson, Suli, Milne, Masters and Benji again - how many do we need?

We aren't going to have the perfect team next year.
The roster is nearly full and there will be some weak positions but I honestly don't expect anything different.

I think Cleary will be aiming to strengthen the weak areas over the next year or two of his three year contract.
