Lots of chat on here about how Reynolds money should be spent. Seems glaringly obvious to me that Tigers area of most need is the backrow. Every team that has won a premiership in the last decade has had at least 1 or 2 established representative backrowers in their starting lineup. I 'am of the view you can't win a premiership without a gun backrow. Might be a reason Tigers have been rubbish since Ellis left.

We had O’niell, Galea, Fulton and Hienington.
All good backrowers but non were representative.

I did say the last decade. Game has changed a lot since 2005, with all the wrestling.

Does anyone have any ideas on what the recent signings are on?

Tamou 2021-22 $350k per season? any option? club/player
James Roberts 2021-22 $200k per season? any option? club/player
Joe O 2021-23 $500k per season (Broncs pay $200k in 2021 & 2022?) any option? club/player

Also on Josh Reynolds, I'm assuming he was on $750k for 2021 but that we will pay $250k leaving an additional $500k onto our cap

Assuming that was all correct (which I know it won't be) I have us with cap space of $1.375m with 3 spots open

Welcome any info anyone might have to help these estimates

No options for Tamou and Joffa as per the tigers site but there’s a club option for 2022 for Roberts.

Wests Tigers have raided the Warriors' heartland, signing three fine young prospects from Auckland.
All 18, Jarney Proctor (hooker/halfback), Tamehana Paruru (back-rower) and Tray Lolesio (prop) are Aucklands Manurewa Marlins juniors and had several NRL clubs on their trail.
But the trio decided their best chance of a pathway to the NRL was with the Tigers and will link up with the club in coming weeks for pre-season training.
All are probably 12 months or more off breaking into the NRL but have the talent to be great buys for the club in the long term.

Not at all, he's not going to be playing first grade. If we can get something for him we should take it.

I know, but we’ll see. We might not even spend Reynolds money let alone packers too. Most likely that releasing them both won’t really help our 2021 chances but will help our future chances for sure if we can sign some rookies or help keep other guys around

Not at all, he's not going to be playing first grade. If we can get something for him we should take it.

It’s still a win to sign a rookie in his place who’s gonna be around a bit longer. It’ll just be a shame if no one who’s worth a decent amount pops up.
