We are in an amazing position cap wise right now. A lot of credit to the recruitment team.

They've done an amazing job.

I'm so impressed with their performances this and last off season. They have copped it as well dealing with some real muppets in Matterson, Aloiai, JAC and Latrell.

I'm so impressed with their performances this and last off season. They have copped it as well dealing with some real muppets in Matterson, Aloiai, JAC and Latrell.

Last season was pretty good with Luc and Doueihi, but this season has been great. Offloading Reynolds, picking up Ofahengaue, Roberts and Tamou and Laurie (for 22) whilst also getting Tahu on board and focusing on indigenous pathways are all great things. Everything seems to be very well thought out.

And always the option to upgrade/frontload some contracts to transfer the cap space down the timeline.

Definitely the same ones? I remember (I think) we signed a some New Zealand schoolboys a while back but no idea if it's the same players. Then we also recently signed those brothers from (I think) Westfield Sports.

We might not, we might use it to top up someone like Noffa to entice him to stay. We’ll sign someone, we aren’t going into the season 750k under the cap. Got a feeling something is in the works

Didn't we just get rid of an injury plagued old 5/8...

We did. Once again people wanting to replace one rustbucket with another when they have the money for something with a good donk and a scratch or two.

As a backup for $200k, it makes sense (provided Laurie doesn’t come). Covers 1,6,7 and is a great kicker. At the moment our back ups are Walters who is injured (and nowhere near Widdop skill wise) and Madden and Talau who have never played first grade.

1 year deal, low risk.

It wasn't 200k - it was 300k. People like to make numbers up - or is Mikey saying we should downgrade Widdop further than he downgraded himself.

Thats £200'000 GBR = $300'000 AUS

A Kiwi mate of mine played most of his career for the Marlins, the same club these NZ kids come from. Highly rates all three but said Jarney Proctor in particular is an absolute freak and was gutted he slipped through the Warriors net.

Bit of a whisper — Hodgo is keen on Packer, MWZ and ET. Packer’s salary is the issue though. Tigers won’t pay 400k for him to play elsewhere

I feel packer is going to be hungry this year and is in for a big one. It's his contract year. I would be inclined to keep him unless we need to release. Our cap is already looking good.

If only up until the parra game so he can flatten matto again.
