even mentioned in the post. And how do you or anyone else knows if they were trying to recruit him? There is a recruitment team that weighs up the pros and cons,Madge is not the sole recruiter.I’m sure the club has spoken to many players and for many reasons were not deemed suitable.

Here is a scenario. If the Knights were to get rid of Pearce as the situation becomes untenable, would you be interested for 2 years? We would be the only club in a position to, unless hes willing to go to a club for next to nothing.

I thought we recently paid $630k for a 5/8 who we tried at FB while we waited for Benji to retire? Where do we move him if we take on an aging $1m half?

Another panic buy on overs.

What’s your opinion on the dogs paying JAC 700k, cotric 600k and burton 650k ? The Flanagan buy was like 350-400k . I think that’s a good buy personally . The others are a huge risk IMO . JAC , at least will be the most overpaid elite winger in the game , so there’s that , but cotric on 600k , with that forward pack and lack of room , can’t be good . And burton wasn’t exactly Ponga coming through where giving him 600k was a calculated risk . I don’t see what the buzz is about personally . He’s not a better than say 20th half in the comp , so they really are banking on him getting to top 10 . Which is what that money indicates . That to me is a panic buy . At least Mbye when we signed him was playing amazing football.

If Mbye was playing amazing football they would have kept him.

Lol are you serious ? When we grabbed him , he was in the form of his life . That was the same year , they let woods go after 8 games , Klemmer go at the end of the year , and mbye go mid year as well. Thier cap , was gone . At least try to be objective .

James Phelps

**Who takes the next step

Luke Brooks. He just has to. Running out of both excuses and years, Brooks must stand up and finally live up to his potential.

Once considered one of the best prospects in the game, Brooks could find himself on the

scrap heap should he and the Tigers fail to make a finals fling.**

Its a fair assesment and one many of our fans are making. Enough is enough for Luke. Its 2021 or never.

If Pearce became available at a reasonable rate Maguire would be crazy to put all his eggs in the basket of a guy who hasnt stepped up to the mark. Pearce at least buys you two seasons of good football and CAN run an NRL team.

Organisation and game management are going to be crucial next season.

Problem is Brooks is signed for the next 3 seasons. I am hoping a stronger front unit gives him the space and time he needs to find the form of a couple seasons ago. He is a great player but has played behind an inferior forward pack for years. No excuses in 2021.

I get the feeling some footballers will hate 2020 more than others

He will really hate it for the short term ...but class always rises to the top eventually

Many have to trust in Madge ...he wouldn't be spending that sort of money if he thought they were going to be ready by 2022

Did JAC tell you this. My understanding was that he went for the best dollar offer he could get. I don't see Canterbury as having a better team than us either.

You have to be able to discern the difference between your fantasies and reality.

Where did you get your ;undestanding: from?Fantasies is when you have your hand on it,maybe time to change hands?

There have been numerous stories that Canterbury offered more money whereas your comments are mind reading someone which is a fantasy.

Facts matter.

Numerous stories are not facts, they are what people thought was likely, as other rumours said its because he was treated badly by tigers previously, plus another half dozen opinions, JAC has never said,so eyeryone is entitled to their opinion. GET OVER IT, its a storm in a tea cup--MOVE ON

I think Musgrove or Twal will start at prop with Tamou and Joffa will be lock, Twal is not a lock IMO

I hope so, Twal is no lock

Agreed,Twal is fine for being part of the prop rotation but is not suited for lock

I'm fine with opinions. Mind reading players is just delusional. I'm completely calm and relaxed. I just pointed out that you can't mind read JAC and the facts appear extremely different to your mind reading.

My recollection was that Mybe was exactly the same at the Bulldogs as he has been here - tried in various positions and never cemented himself in any.
In saying that I think he had a reasonable year this year just not equivalent to how much he reportedly earns .

Gee I am not against Mansour for a season but definitely hope its a CO for the 2nd. In saying that, I imagine if WT suggest at the end of 2021 that he is playing reserves for 2022 (assuming its a 2 year contract), he would likely test his value in the ESL given his age.
