he is a "Goodun’

I just wish he'd edited out the two missed kicks. The penalty attempt early on and of course the conversion fluffer to force extra time.

4 years for Nofa lol.

Well, at least its comforting that in a dynamic and changing world, the Wests Tigers still do Wests Tigers things.

He has just turned 27 - he should be at his peak over the next 3 years - depending on the coin i don't see much downside.

Not a guy who relies too much on blinding speed either, has good vision, work rate and an eye for the try line. Good signing.

Queue the comments about his defence.

True - but he will only be 31 at the end of 2025 season. Probably still get a season or 2 contract at a reduced rate in the NRL or a nice pension in ESL. Some on here wanted to sign Mansour who is already 30.

I am a fan of the club and want success, I hope you're right.

I see more downside but again, I'm a fan and hope I'm wrong.

He’ll be 32 in 2025. He’s turning 28 in May so in 2025 come May he’ll be 32. It’s old for a winger but it’s not too bad as long as he’s not on huge dollars at that point. Guess it’s the sacrifice to keep him around for his prime which is another 2-3 years hopefully.

Time will tell - if he is not performing there will be young guys waiting to take his place.

Great that we didn't sign Mansour, would have been a mistake. Unfortunate that we are next to no chance of getting Laurie now.

Our success at fullback this season will come down to one man, forum favourite and inspirational captain Moses Mbye.

Best case, we will just need him to be an absolute rock at the back and hopefully the prowess of Nofa, JTJ and co can get us some tries.

Here’s hoping.

In all fairness, if he can somehow get rid of his flipper hands he'll do fine. Back in 2018 he was one of our best players after coming over from the Dogs.

Yeah he’s had some leg injuries and looked really low on confidence. I remember he had a really dangerous month at FB when he was at Belmore.

They don't call him the 'excitement machine' for nothing.

Club loyalty is one thing taking the team to a top 4 finish is another . With the Chairman getting involved tells me the club has learnt nothing , would any top 4 club sign Nofo to a 4 yr deal someone that has no idea how to defend .. my prediction he will be playing Reggie’s in 2022 .

I agree he won’t be playing his best footy in 24/25, but that’s a long way off, given all the instability and long playoff drought I’m okay with taking a win now approach in the short to medium term, getting some wins on the board will allow us to put better players around Nof and maybe we can carry him for a year or two.

Happy New Year All !!
Here's hoping for a very promising & successful 2021.

Couple Of Things:

Nofoaluma talks are progressing/promising, the sticking point is most certainly the 3/4 year deal side of things, club recently came back with a counter offer of a 4 year deal but the 4th year being in the clubs favor, this was submitted in the last couple days.

Madge/Club really liking the looks of young Allan Fitzgibbion, every chance of snagging a top 30 spot on minimum wage for 2021, only concern is attitude/application towards doing the extras needed but club surrounding with the right people to get him on track.

Panthers still not playing ball in relation to Laurie, but the club will keep a top 30 spot open for him till it has to be filled.

Remaining spot looking to go towards a utility forward/lock.

Mbye has had some discussions with clubs north of the border over the break & would like to move back to QLD but nothing solid yet to come from it. Also Walters to Brisbane talk won't go away, if that does eventuate the club will look for another utility half type for depth purposes, no names yet if this comes to fruition.

Also Cini still likely to leave the club but the spot would more likely be filled with a train & trial player like Tyrone Roberts-Davis

Great insight mate.

Interesting you mention Allan Fitzgibbon's attitude. A good friend of mine that has played a lot of first grade and also with Allan Fitzgibbon previously, said to me when I told him he was at the Tigers *"Well, I hope he has changed his attitude. As it was very ordinary for a player wanting to make the NRL".*

Glad that the Tiger's may have picked up on this early as it could also explain why the Panthers let him go from their Cup side, however from games I saw him play, he was outstanding on game day, but may not be the right fit outside of this.

Also regarding Cini. He met with the Panthers prior to Christmas, seems this one may not happen, unless things have changed since, as the Tiger's wouldn't let him take his management with him to the meeting, as Madge is keen to keep him onboard.

Just me 2 cents for what it is worth.

There was an Instagram story a few days ago (I think it was JTJ) and it was Fitzgibbon on the bike with Ronnie Palmer next to him. JTJ was saying don’t be late mate and down the bottom it read 2 hour cardio session.

Thats good. I am then assuming this part of his make up is already identified, potentially mitigating the investment risk.
