Well I agree that our roster has improved substantially and we are well placed to have a reasonably good season but as in every season we are at the mercy of that old “Lady Luck” .....

we need luck and bloody good form in our early season games which are going to be quite testing.

We need a better deal from the referees on those 50:50 calls that always seem to go against less glamorous teams.

We need our spine to click into gear and establish stability in those positions ..... something that Madge has been struggling to get over his last few seasons with the club.

And we need our forwards and defence to show significant improvement as last season we have lost a lot of ground on that front.

And of course there is that issue of luck with the injuries although we do seem have better quality back up in most positions this year.

Not a easy task to get ticks on all those fronts but you just never know? Interesting times ahead for us.

If every team had to play their 1st backup in each position, where do think we'd rank? Interesting thought experiment

He played Origin during the NRL v SL war though...i.e. when QLD basically had about 20 players left they could call up.

He was a solid player who looked okay early for Norths. Never really did much though. He has done very well in the media for someone who had a fairly modest career, but good luck to him.

Yes he played SOO - so did Mbye, Peats, Tyrone Peachey, Moylan, Tim Grant, Snowden, Hess, Milford and other dynamic players that are all pushing the Hall of the Fame.

Iken,i like as a commentator, but like the other talking heads mentioned, they have done little homework,and just breezed through the rosters. Many of their opinions are based on last years performances. I'M sure if you asked them about our roster , they could only rattle off about 6 names. Daley is a student of the game, and his job requires him to be right up to scratch. The bottom line is who gives a s--t what they think.
