The trouble is Ikin thinks his thoughts and opinions are relevant,

unfortunately for him they are not and neither is that idiot Ennis.

You see, the story is that Fox keep Anasta, Hodges, Meninga etc.
to try and make Ikin and Ennis seem like they know somrthing.

However people with half a brain know that they are all dopes -
maybe with the exception of Alexander.

Ikin was a below average player at best .. just because he married Wayne Bennets daughter thinks he knows everything .. pffft

Ennis .. a thug, a pig, a grub is all Ennis remembered for .. !!

Two wannabeis is all those two will ever be .. !!

Ikin has done pretty well out of footy. He is articulate and seems to know his stuff. He is not at all keen on Wayne Bennett, because of his domestic set up. As for his being a " below average footaller ". you do know he played State of Origin football?

Yes he played SOO - so did Mbye, Peats, Tyrone Peachey, Moylan, Tim Grant, Snowden, Hess, Milford and other dynamic players that are all pushing the Hall of the Fame.

Hall of no- hopers that is.

He played Origin during the NRL v SL war though...i.e. when QLD basically had about 20 players left they could call up.

He was a solid player who looked okay early for Norths. Never really did much though. He has done very well in the media for someone who had a fairly modest career, but good luck to him.

Yet despite that handicap, didn't they towel us up 3 zip? I know that we lost the one I was watching at Lang Park.

On this forum it seems anyone who bags us out is a terrible player and person and anyone who gives us good press is a shrewd judge and a legend of the game.

Absolutely, Walters has done nothing wrong at all. I just think his preference is to play with his Dad, which is understandable.

Billy Walters is demonstrating the right way to act if you want to leave your current contractual arrangement unlike a couple of recent more high profile dummy spitters. This is exactly how anyone should leave a job. On good terms and with no stupidly unnecessary burning of bridges! If he goes to the show ponies I wish him every success-except against us!

Knocked back warriors big dollar offer.

See its not just wests tigers.

Most players would prefer to take less money to play in a premiership hopeful team than get the big bucks to not play finals.

And to be honest, the ones that take the money are not the players you want in your team, as they are there for the wrong reasons.

We need to build from within until we prove to be a top 8 team. Then we will be in the running for some big dollar players.

Of course I'm generalising but mostly true.

Extremely emotional mate. Ben Ikin played of memory a few games for Australia, maybe 10 or more games for Qld and probably over 100 games of 1st grade NRL. Michael Ennis played a few State of Origin for NSW and over 200 NRL games. Hardly wannabes! I think maybe with that record their entitled to an opinion, which I must say I don't agree with. Nonetheless they are untitled to an opion much the same as members of this forum.

Iken,i like as a commentator, but like the other talking heads mentioned, they have done little homework,and just breezed through the rosters. Many of their opinions are based on last years performances. I'M sure if you asked them about our roster , they could only rattle off about 6 names. Daley is a student of the game, and his job requires him to be right up to scratch. The bottom line is who gives a s--t what they think.

The more they talk the Tigers down the more I like it. Gets me a better price on them making the Top 8. I have stated before that there is a different feel in Tigertown this year. Good days ahead me thinks.

I like the man ...... says his piece and let’s others put their opinions on his show. Does not play favourites.
I think he is stating the obvious observation from someone looking in .... we have to lots to go our way to be successful this year and in my opinion with addition of few first class recruits to this roster we are in the 8 to our ears. But this year, to be realistic, I doubt it..... but never the less ... hoping!
