As you state you just want someone who knows what to do when it's needed.

That doesn't come down to experience, comes down to mentality and talent

Even Cronk and Thurston didn't know to steer a team around the park at 20.

You're getting overexcited about unproven talent. Both Brooks and Moses were unstoppable in 20s.

I get what ur saying but players can just slot in and play like experienced players. For example daine laureys had what 1 maybe 2 games of first grade experience before we signed him and hes been our best by a long, long way. Experience is good but it's not everything. These young guys coming through can do it without experience, not all but some and they also dont have demons on their shoulders from previous seasons or clubs. U can go looking for experience and end up with players like BJ or u can go with a bit of youth and build on it with players like laurie or volkman for this example.

Laurie his playing fullback though. He's doing a terrific job, but he can pick his moments and his athleticism is shining through.

As halfback you are responsible for most of the attack, deciding when it's time to kick, and controlling field position. It's much more about between the ears than athletic ability IMO.

Yeh I was just using him as an example of what a less experienced player can do. I wouldnt be changing him to half back at all mate

It’s a video of Brooks running into the banner at the start of the game, Koro said “that’s what the tigers season will look like”

A tigers fan replied why don’t you come back and he responded “I have 5 other NRL clubs chasing me at the moment”

Nothing outrageous I know , but there’s been plenty of ex players dump on the club in recent years, to the point it makes you wonder if the reason we fail to attract marquee is the way we have treated players in the past

Pretty concerning. I mentioned in the off season I thought the top players felt embarrassed to sign with us.

You can make all the changes off the field but if you’re an embarrassment on the field, it means nothing.

Yeah I got that, my point was it’s much harder for a young halfback to jump in an “belong” in first grade.

We could suggest swapping Milford for MBye with the Broncs? He is on the nose with them so Kevvy might think of it as a win. They might get more value out of MBye and with less spotlight on him, Milford MAY go okay for us. Both on high value contracts so hard to move by their teams. Would partially placate two fan bases with one swap.

Mbye Milford in my opinion.

Did you see his grabs the other night on Fifita? Last thing we need is Milford on an edge with our already turnstile ridden edges. Any decent team would identify it and just prod that all game.

Milford epitomises everything the wests tigers don’t need in a half. Lazy, poor defender that goes missing when the game isn’t a 40-0 flogging...sounds like Brooks except the difference is Brooks isn’t lazy and can tackle (sometimes).

Don’t want to sound like I’m having a go but huge no in my opinion would be a terrible backwards step.

I am happy to change my mind - your points are valid. I think I was only thinking attack, rather than defence.

Like clockwork. Things don't go well and has beens and never wases like Koro and O'Hara suddenly appear out of nowhere to say "told you so". Happens every season when a team does poorly. If Brisbane had a good year last year all of their old boys would be much quieter.

At least on our forum @Snake has been telling everyone how bad we are since forever. 😂

Make it happen pls, we need Reynolds kicking game and game control so badly which will allow brooks to be a running 6 and pick his spots without the pressure of being our go too half similar to how Cody Walker plays

Our signings have been excellent with Laurie, Stefano, Blore, Kei, Simpkin, Simpkins and Tuilagi. As more are introduced to the NRL, I expect our standard will also improve. It won't happen overnight but it will happen.

Not really an issue at the moment, but since you mentioned Kei, in my opinion has been underwhelming. He came here with big raps. I get he is young, I'm not writing him off at all. I just haven't seen anything at the moment to warrant the hype. I think he got subbed off last game as well.

Can't believe we didn't sign Sebastian Kris. I was saying we should've signed him all year last year and he was only on a train and trial a few months ago.

Quality player and he's available to sign for 2022 if we need a centre which seems likely

Are you sure he’s available? Raiders are mad if they haven’t signed him.
