You can forget about getting any good playmaker coming or staying here with Brisbane 2 coming in for 2023.

There is not many around and the good ones will be retained at current clubs.. That's why we should be chasing Adam Reynolds big time and that would give us 2-3 more years to get his replacement. At least you know you would get a guy that can run a team and control a game week in week out.

I'd definatley go for him but if he's smart he'll at the very least sign 1 year at Souths then put himself in the marke for 2023. A new club will inflate a few wages. Signing with us would be a dumb move.

He's going well in reserve grade apparently. If not him then someone, we need a winger

At the right price he’d be a good pickup.

It's becoming more and more clear we need another winger in our squad. Problem is if we sign someone up for this year they'll probably have to stick around next year as well - Corey Oates or Edrick Lee fall into that category, would be good for a season but next year would be excess.

Maybe there's a young winger somewhere we can grab? If Talau is at centre we only have Nofa, AJ and Cini to play wing.

Problem is we knew this last year. Kepaoa should never have been a first choice winger.

I hope those who rubbished the club for attempting to sign Mansour now understand.

We can’t drop AJ, because we have no one else. I’m interested to see how Kei goes on the wing in state cup this week, maybe he’s an option?

I'm fine with the decision to give AJ first crack, just seems silly to not have a real backup option especially when Talau was always likely to get a run at centre. Seems a bit of an oversight from the club, as for Kei he's not eligible until round 11 unless he's pushed into our top 30.

Fingers crossed Edene Gebbie can perform but I have my doubts ?

Yeah I think Gebbie’s best chance is next year. He hasn’t played at all or even trained with a team for a year and barely speaks English.

From the commentary on Sunday sounds like none of our players can speak either.

Absolutely and with $ available, we are well placed to pick up a good young outside back if one becomes available.

Corey Oats is also only 26 ... I say give him a go as he was excellent a few years ago and a change might be all he needs

Yep, meanwhile he makes Souths top 13 who are one of the favourites to win the comp, and we’re firming to win the spoon.

I think Souths management are smarter than WT’s.

Absolutely and with $ available, we are well placed to pick up a good young outside back if one becomes available.

With our strike rate we’ll likely just sign another Kepaoa so the big teams can make space in their roster.
