Naysayers ? That’s an interesting way to look at it . I saw a guy get to his kicks , and shift early to benji and Lattrell .
I didn’t see anything worth 1 mil a year . Which is what it would cost .

Would it? $1.4 mill over 2 years is the current offer.

He'd be worth that.

What do we do with brooks ? Offload to the boys ? Also what do we do in 2024 ? Is madden gonna wait ? Is there a junior coming through ? Not saying I hate it . Just there’s a lot to sort out , the future 3 years from now the most important . Plus you all know I’m pro brooks .

I admire your support for the bloke, but we haven't been in the top 8 for 10 years, we have changed many things and it is still not happening, so they need to look at him, he just doesn't seem to have the game we need to take us to the next level.

I admire your support for the bloke, but we haven't been in the top 8 for 10 years, we have changed many things and it is still not happening, so they need to look at him, he just doesn't seem to have the game we need to take us to the next level.

We have not replaced the quality we have lost. It is very simple really.

The more the Reynolds saga drags on the more chance I think he will stay at Souffs.
The cynic in me wouldn't put it past the SuperCoach using Reynolds and his own contract situation as bait to the media to take the attention and pressure of the rest of the team.
Reynolds seems to have handled it well last night.

I’m no lawyer but if a nrl club gave him a contract think it would be hard for nrl to refuse. He’s no criminal. He’s a footballer who cares about all the other crap.

The conspiracy theory is that Mick who is very pro magpies stated at the AGM that there was no way Wests Magpies would be re branded as Wests Tigers in NSW Cup or RMC while he was there. A week later he was ousted from the board of Wests Tigers and also as chairman of WS Magpies. There has been no official announcement from WT, WSM or Wests Ahfield as to why he was ousted.

Luke brooks has been here since 2013
We have had many combinations and playersat our club but have not made finals since
Players like Marshall Farah Brown Aloiai Matterson Moses Taupau Lodge not to mention our current crop
I don't think you can blame the office for the performances on the field
These guys get paid to do a job
The only common denominator in all of this is Luke Brooks
I would give him 6 more weeks
If he doesn't improve alot, then we must look elsewhere

Farah, Marshall, Tedesco, Simona, Moses, JAC, Tapau, Woods.

Who are the like for like replacements? Please name them?

It is clear you lose that quality and cannot replace it with like for like, there will be an impact.

There is no getting around this fact.

Your solution is to blame Brooks.

We couldn't make the finals with those guys here while Brooks was in control
He had these guys at his disposal
He had the chance then

I agree we haven't seen the quality of these guys since then
But this year we do IMO
He needs to perform with who ever we have
You can not blame his poor kicking game on the other players
Good halves use their kicking game to get you out of trouble and to get field position
I don't see Brooks doing that often at all
Poor kicking just keeps us under constant pressure
Maybe with Doueihi taking a few kicks, Brooks can concentrate on other areas of his game

I think we have the players personally . Laurie and AD and Simpkin and brooks , is a very good spine . I’m more inclined to look at Staggs , Jordan Riki , Xavier Coates etc . Edge strike players .

I reckon we really need another forward like Luc. Maybe Blore gets the job done. We need some more thrust on that right hand side. Garner has done it on occasions and his defense has been fantastic this year but he isn't offering much if anything in attack.

We seem to be holding teams in the middle even Parra but our bench middle forwards are at this point just as good if not better than our starting middle forwards.

Our spine needs work though. I agree that potentially they are good but it's going to take some time for them to get it together especially AD. AD looks great at times but he is inconsistent.

So you say he’s a fine player but we should get rid of him because he can’t single handedly win the comp. Brooks should be able to win the comp for us never mind how the rest of the squad plays?
Well the way I see it, Reynolds works well for the Rabbits because he’s in a spine with Mitchell Cook & Walker and he has a host of quality rep players around him that have played together for some time.
Last night I saw him make a few mistakes, a few bad 5th tackle options and poor kicks - but he scored a try backing up and kicked a great field goal, he set up a try with a cross kick etc. Brooks has done the same sort of things in his recent games but some on here have chosen to focus solely on his errors.
For those who think our recent form as a team can be solved by getting rid of Brooks, all i say is that it is an extremely simplistic and unrealistic view of the game and our team.

You’re missing my point . Brooks is 26 , so would have been planned out to 2025 at the earliest as the half . So now , if we get Reynolds , that timeline moves forward , as I don’t think anyone seriously thinks he will last beyond a 2 yr contract .
So then getting/ developing the future half of our team , is really , really important .
Madden will be 24 around then , so maybe it’s him ? But you can’t be so short sighted . If we go for Reynolds , then that means we have to have our halfback of the future in the club at the same time .

Sorry, but I want to win now, not in the future.

We have been saying that for 10 years.

I'm not suggesting for a minute that Brooks shouldn't own his faults - I've been just as frustrated by him. But also don't believe for a minute that his faults are the reason for our lack of success or that removing him and replacing him alone will bring success. It's a bandaid solution. The quality/talent in the competition is mostly concentrated in five/ six sides and we are not one of them that is currently our biggest problem.

But they pride themselves on transparency.
