So, does this mean Reynolds is another cotton wool baby.......

No Dazza ...just has to be managed correctly at this stage of his career ..like Baa had to be at the Dogs

I get that now, but are we assuming Pooper means based on what Reynolds saw back then, he won't be managed well now?? or was it that Madge forced Reynolds to played injured back then..... - I just though the comment from the Poopster was a bit vague....as usual

Madge still forces players to play injured .....Mbye has said it ,Matterson has said it , Grant said it

Please.

Please who ???

Souths players mentioned it as well .....how long did Harry Grant play with his injured hand for example

I even mentioned it before the Warriors game , rest a few players

You believe everything players tell you

So your assertion is three different players who have never complained about any other coach are all in some way conspiring against Madge?

Have you considered that perhaps it’s true and maybe there is a correlation between this and our inability to attract big name players as well as our continued decline in performances? He may have won a premiership in the past but his style, both tactically and regarding man management, does not suit the modern game.

Okay mate you believe what the players tell you. They would have agendas or anything ? do you always believe what people tell you?

I couldn’t be bothered arguing with you but encourage you to look at the facts. Here’s a tip we have one of the best nrl physio’s in the nrl with the least injuries this year.

This Really points to a coach making players play injured.

Another point for you despite pressure on his job Madge has taken real care easing juniors into grade too

Where were you when the club ruined players careers like Lawrence when there was real evidence the club was neglected as you claim now.

Why would they have an agenda against Madge and no other coach they’ve played for?

Do you think any of the 3 player's game will improve after leaving here?

It's hard to say. I think Reynolds is probably in career best form under Bennett. Grant is under Bellamy so i'd expect him to get much better. Mbye will be better at his next club. He was a far better player under Cleary's coaching. As was Brooks.

Arguably. But to be fair, on the other hand, Lucy is a better player under a Madge, Adam Doueihi is a better player under Madge, Joe Offa is playing better under Madge than last year at the Broncs. Garner has improved over the start of the season. Youngsters like Laurie and Stefano are thriving under Madge. Jake Simpkin is developing well under Madge, Tuki Simpkins is developing well under Madge.

I think the narrative that Madge is too hard and old fashioned to get the best out of players and is not a good 'people manager' is completely bogus.

True. I personally know two head Physio's and Sport Scientists (one former WT who has worked under Madge) and both say he's as tough a task master as you get, however he does listen to the medical personnel and if they say a player is not fit to play or come back from rehab - he listens and accepts the position. Anything else is just smoke and mirror bull dust floated by disgruntled players, managers or media - not the first time someone is unfairly tarred with a brush, that's sticks and is wholly unjustified.
***If*** (and to me its a big if) there is any truth in the perception then its an indictment on the medical team, not necessarily Madge.

It's hard to say. I think Reynolds is probably in career best form under Bennett. Grant is under Bellamy so i'd expect him to get much better. Mbye will be better at his next club. He was a far better player under Cleary's coaching. As was Brooks.

The game's format (last year too but particularly this year) has been a funny one, in that it's resurged careers of guys like Adam Reynolds
Watching how impressive that young Broncos forward pack were last night and Penrith’s poor field position throughout, highlighted the need/demand for an exceptional kicking game to flourish or excel really.

So in saying that must admit I'm super impressed with the initiative Douiehi has taken in developing this aspect of his game. Well done to him.

Will Hopoate would be a handy pick up for the right price.. Pretty consistent and can cover a few positions plus he is still only 28 years old. He would be starting if he was at our club now and he is off contract this year

Didn’t Mbye deny that was true? There was an article about the club forcing him to play injured and he denied it the very next day. Unless I missed something?

Prefer we make a play for someone like Sebastian Kris

Interesting karmichaek Hunt is allowed back in the game for drug charges and Israel Folau is probably still going to be knocked back at getting a contract.

Is there a reason we have been so quiet in the player market recently?
I assume there is cap room.
Many other teams are making moves.
Are we targeting specific players or are we being over looked?
It's pretty clear we need some upgrades/depth.

I would assume waiting for the right type of player at the right price. There's definitely a need for outside backs and an edge backrower. We have plenty of depth at Prop, hooker options seem set, full back set and for the most part for now I'd say halves are set.

We will never get the right type of player for the right price when other teams are trumping our offer over or under the table
We must pay overs for one or two players
Players like Brandon Smith and Adam Reynolds
Get those two and others will follow as other players will start to see that we are building a good team
These two players would be draw cards

Yes I would take him everyday as well.

Keen to know what the club is thinking as its been quite for a while now.

100% agree and been saying the same..

Plus add the COE will be opening and we will have lost Packer and maybe Mbye and Brooks...

Need to spend money to make money and if people think we will just attract top line players for mid range salaries they are kidding themselves.

Difference is that Folau refuses to say he will not stop speaking out. He didnt get cancelled for his comments. He got cancelled for refusing to agree to the rules set by the governing bodies.

Hunt has said he wont do it again.

Can't use that excuse now ... he has agreed not to promote his views if allowed into the NRL.

Interesting karmichaek Hunt is allowed back in the game for drug charges and Israel Folau is probably still going to be knocked back at getting a contract.

Difference is that Folau refuses to say he will not stop speaking out. He didnt get cancelled for his comments. He got cancelled for refusing to agree to the rules set by the governing bodies.

Hunt has said he wont do it again.

so what, one was a criminal charge and conviction also like Lodge
