Re the signing of Reynolds, Brown, and others.. Penrith has shown the way, and that is the blueprint we should follow.
We must look and plan for the future, and not buy players in their twilight years, we have been burnt badly in the past.
Do the Storm, Easts, Penrith etc buy players at their career ends ? Anxiety causes bad decicions, success takes time.
We must learn from the errors of the past.

I think they should still sign Liddle for 2022. He's a great back up option if Jake gets injured

I think Liddle is still a good player and deserves a crack at first grade at nrl he is better than a backup he is just not as good as Jake Simpkin

Like I feel with Brooks, Liddle has been through a lot, and it would be good to see him succeed at the WT. But maybe it doesn't happen.

I think you're right, but hopefully we can move MBye on. If Hastings fills the role of third playmaker next year, and if we can let MBye go, then we could either carry a second hooker on the bench or have four forwards.

I'm not confident we can move* MBye on, but we did with Reynolds when I thought we had no chance.

if we move Mmbye on great resign Liddle. Liddle probably won't stay when dogs and Titans etc are crying out for a 9
If Brandon Smith stays at storm which is looking likely then dogs should take Liddle.
Liddle is better than a sub player and he is unlucky we have Simpkin who could be a representative player down the track.

Maybe letting Walters go without this (backup hooker) being sorted is somewhat unwise. Mbye is making, and has done, all the right signals and moves he is ready to go, but like everything he has to actually have a taker but it seems more than likely he will be gone at end of season. lf we also let Walters go with his contract expiring at ed of this season without trying to keep him or early identification and/or signing of this backup hooker we may be deep doo doo in 2022.

Who are some of these back ups? Jeremy Marshall-King from Dogs? Who else is out there without contract for next year and what team are they with?

I think they should still sign Liddle for 2022. He's a great back up option if Jake gets injured

I think Liddle is still a good player and deserves a crack at first grade at nrl he is better than a backup he is just not as good as Jake Simpkin

No doubt a quality player like Liddle will be snapped up by another club and come back to bite us.

Re the signing of Reynolds, Brown, and others.. Penrith has shown the way, and that is the blueprint we should follow.
We must look and plan for the future, and not buy players in their twilight years, we have been burnt badly in the past.
Do the Storm, Easts, Penrith etc buy players at their career ends ? Anxiety causes bad decicions, success takes time.
We must learn from the errors of the past.
