Laughing at the broncos boss whinging about their players getting poached.
Yeah ok mate.

There is a rumour the Coates deal with the Storm is nearly done. I'd be annoyed to if I were the Broncos.

I am sure the word "basketcase" is being bandied about.

Relegation is a buzz word today

There is zero chance of Sam burgess being allowed to play. If he did there would be the biggest uproar the game has ever seen and the only time all fans and clubs unite .

You mean an uproar like when Greg Inglis miraculously came out of medical retirement to play in England?

He didn't medically retire. he greeturded his way out of the NRL

Burgess joining must be a joke. No medical practitioner would sign off on him being fit if another has determined he isn't and has been medically retired.

That was a salary cap clearing exercise

What would be the NRL position?

Isn't Sam Burgess's drugs charge still going through the courts?
He was one of the best forwards to ever play but also thug that just wants to injure people.
I would also be concerned about the effect a selfish, arrogant, drug enthusiast may have on a young team.

I would have thought the fact he mentioned when I last saw him ON TV he had lost all strength in that shoulder /area of the neck that was effected

I guess we could ask the bloke sitting next to Madge in the box how that works ....

Just after Burgess was medically retired he was photographed walking around with a girl on his shoulders. I thought he was moved on because the investigation about drug use and intimidation was about to come out. It all sounded very dodgy.

Well originally the Drs said if he was prepared to wait 18 months ..he may be able to make a comeback after a specific surgery .........how much further are we down the line .....

This was why I was angry about his medical retirement .....the Drs had said he might be able to make a comeback ...down the line yes .....but a comeback is a comeback ...isn't it

Wasn't GI in the same boat Hap?

Yeah ...but I think his mental health was always the bigger issue .....could be wrong ...and the DUI

Lodge returning to league was much worse than Burgess returning and even then it all blew over after a couple of games.

George Williams reportedly homesick, perhaps we have some avenue to look at Brooks to Raiders for 2022

With all the coin freed up next yr, we would be silly not to have a crack at staggs. Could play wherever he wants.
Apparently Newcastle has entered the race after parra is out and if he wants to end his career, we are just as good as them 😂😂

I don't understand why we haven't been linked to him at all. I can't think of any reason not to chase the bloke unless he's already knocked us back.

With as many leaks as our club has, you would think we would have heard about it if we had

We need to win week on week to make us a credible destination.

Winning is the silver bullet for recruitment.

Staggs aint Thurston, Teddy or even Latrell

1 mil a year.. dont think so.

I’d be looking pretty hard a Joe Tapine, I think that he will be looking at getting out of the Raiders ASAP.
He’s a great running lock, just want we need.
The Roosters are sniffing around already, Nick will give Brett M a golden handshake to retire that will free up their sombrero to make a play at Tapine.
We need to get on the front foot now, unless Pascoe is on holidays.
If we did sign JT we get another assistant coach in Mrs T as well.

Interesting times for Canberra - on a slide at the moment - Bateman gone, rumour Williams wants to go home, Hodgson hardly ever on the field, players wives giving Ricky a spray. Apart from hammering us and the Titans they have been pretty ordinary. It will be interesting to see if Ricky can turn things around. He has failed at other clubs when things start to go pear shaped. Might be worth sounding out some disgruntled players.

He has the same secret agent as Mitch Moses. Apparently he wants to play 6 (on milf money of course) and stay at Broncos, but won’t sign until they sign a 7.

Where’s Paul Turner off to next season?

Broncos most likely, they came close to getting him this year.

Their premiership window is slamming shut. Wouldn't be surprised to see a few tough years for them. We should be sniffing around their best players haha

Like Inglis playing in Superleague. Miraculous recovery!
Inglis retired on his terms it wasn’t a medical retirement

I think Inglis basically gave up the game (and his salary up) because it was his decision to quit its different to be medically retired.

Didn't give up all his salary though. Souths hired him for about 300k to act as an Indigenous ambassador of sorts from memory.

He wasn't medically retired though. He gave away the game due to lack of desire to keep up with the brutal training and the weekly grind of the game. He had a few niggles that required time off so instead gave it away. Forfeited majority of his remaining contract and took on a support role at the club.

Big difference between his and Sam's circumstances.
