With all the coin freed up next yr, we would be silly not to have a crack at staggs. Could play wherever he wants.
Apparently Newcastle has entered the race after parra is out and if he wants to end his career, we are just as good as them ??

I don't understand why we haven't been linked to him at all. I can't think of any reason not to chase the bloke unless he's already knocked us back.

Maybe we have but the club has finally learned not to make it public to avoid embarrassment when we don't snare the signature.

There is zero chance of Sam burgess being allowed to play. If he did there would be the biggest uproar the game has ever seen and the only time all fans and clubs unite .

You mean an uproar like when Greg Inglis miraculously came out of medical retirement to play in England?

He wasn't medically retired though. He gave away the game due to lack of desire to keep up with the brutal training and the weekly grind of the game. He had a few niggles that required time off so instead gave it away. Forfeited majority of his remaining contract and took on a support role at the club.

Big difference between his and Sam's circumstances.

Exactly the type of player we need to replace Joey, he’s practically a peak BJ but better with his strength and speed too.

We need a strike centre who can create and score points, unfortunately we dropped the ball with Roberts and BJ thinking they’d be those players which I’m not blaming the club for as I also thought they’d be good signings at the time.... but I guarantee everyone that Katoni will be the best centre in the game in the coming 1-2 years easily and is also really young and will grow with our youngsters..... would be a fantastic signing

The big stink was how after he made a big deal about foregoing his contract money he suddenly gets a job with Souths. I remember the uproar on here after we had been done for Farah. It was obviously organised before he quit.

Interesting times for Canberra - on a slide at the moment - Bateman gone, rumour Williams wants to go home, Hodgson hardly ever on the field, players wives giving Ricky a spray. Apart from hammering us and the Titans they have been pretty ordinary. It will be interesting to see if Ricky can turn things around. He has failed at other clubs when things start to go pear shaped. Might be worth sounding out some disgruntled players.

Their premiership window is slamming shut. Wouldn't be surprised to see a few tough years for them. We should be sniffing around their best players haha

No difference in my opinion. Both were on good money, both apparently walked away from their contracts but yet were offered 'jobs' with Souths. With burgess, the job he accepted which was made public knowledge flat out equalled the remaining money he was owed under the contract. With Inglis, as far as I know, the public figure was less.

Both dodgy as, blatant Spiths cheating imo.
