The Mbye situation isn't that complicated. If we save a few hundred k and can put it to better use then sell. If we can't save enough to contribute to a meaningful upgrade then hold.

Forget the 900k or whatever, it is coming out of next year's cap no matter what so there is no point debating it.

As for Mybe situation, would be silly to right this year of just to get rid of him. Like
It or not he’s in our best 17. Covers multiple positions. If the jet and Joey where firing for us maybe we could afford to get rid of him but right now we can’t.

I would give mybe a few more games in the 6 and see if he can continue to do a job for us, we also play the dragons next week, no need to make them stronger. If he doesn’t kick on maybe we can suss it out.


Also some of these haters are so desperate they don’t understand how to negotiate, we are just supposed to Bend over just because dragons want him now? Our priority is this season.. the longer it goes the more desperate they get and maybe we get a better deal. We aren’t going to get a player swap, they barely have enough players to announce a squad hence the reason for mybe interest. I think mybe will get picked up for next year, he’s a good player and a very handy pick up at the right price. So not too worried about next years risks.

The season is already over. We need to be planning for next season, and getting rid of as much of his super inflated salary as possible is our prime objective.

They still need him and he offers us very little value this season. Realistically he's our second choice 5/8, 4th choice centre and third choice hooker. WIth Walters, Madden and ZDC capable of covering backup hooker and 5/8 it's just centre, where we have Roberts, Talau, Cini, Ogden, Hoffmann, Kei as options.

Just looking at the Flegg and NSW cup teams. I know not all players kick on, but jeeze we have some talent coming through. Our forwards in particular look very good. I would not be looking elswhere for signings. The backline is to my mind where we need to recruit.

He's certainly a very talented player. I hope he does for WTs' future.
