Noffa would be a disaster at the back. Cant defuse bombs, cant tackle. Hed run the ball back hard but that would be it.

Agreed.

I think Lolohea will work out well for us. Other then him I really don't see another NR1 and even Lolohea is a halfway between 1 and 5/8.

Yes, Marshall, Kev, MWZ, etc can kind of play at 1\. But kind of play means loose tries… Maybe not too big an issue if we can train one of the new guys, perhaps Cory Thomson to play FB.

I did not realise but we seem to have a bulge of wingers.

Lets wait and see. We should only recruit a very good Fullback or Prop from now on in.

Bus doors are closing.

Corey Thompson was playing fullback for Easts Tigers in the Q Cup when he was signed by the Bulldogs in 2013 .

At first glance, you think Kev will be a pure depth player, but when you see how much he improved throughout the year, why isn't he in with a chance. Interestingly, his best games came when he was filling in for Tedesco.

I can't understand this. Kevin is a reserve player at best.

At the start of the year I'd have agreed, but he did improve.

I see that, but not to the extent that he then becomes our starting fullback. No way in the world will I be able to watch Naiqama continually start throughout the season and still have hope to make the 8.

Viliame Kikau from penrith. Off contract 2019\. Killing it on the left edge for fiji. Big boy. Discuss.

I wasnt aware were he was from, but I sort of like him and how he goes about his work.

His numbers look good!

I reckon he is in with a chance but I think Tui is a better player.

Me too. I'm not saying he deserves to be there, but he's done enough to deserve to at least be in the conversation.

You have got to be kidding. He is, at best, a reserve grader.

In one breath you don’t want Moylan and in the next you want Naiqama to have a chance to be our starting fullback. Do you actually want us to win games?

Agreed kevie is at best a fringe first grader and he should not be in first grade at any stage if we want to make the 8

You're entitled to your opinion.

Nah, I'm with GNR. Kev's looked real solid at the back. Definitely an option.

I agree with you. He is stepping up big time in world cup and showing leadership qualities. I'd have him in the centres

I love Kevvie, and he has always got a good game in him … but I think we have been down this path before. He is good player to have around as a replacement with what appears to be a great attitude.

If Kev is there, i'll have no problem because with all the competition he has, i'll know he's earned it. I'll trust Cleary's judgement.

Can you please elaborate on "all the competition he has"? Have we signed a couple of fullbacks overnight I wasn't aware of?

But your happy to have the biggest Goose of all time onboard in Reynolds
…at $750K might I add :unamused:

At least Moylan and Ferguson are quality players unlike our new Golden Goose .

Further to this, given the amount of charity work Reynolds does, to say he's the biggest goose of all time is harsh. Also, if we had to pay that much for him, how much would we have has to pay a guy like Cronk or Moylan?

On the field Reynolds is a tool …. Then take away his enthusiasm he's an average player at best .
As for his charity work off the field that's great !

Off the field I couldn't care if players choose to bubble at urinals , hump pets or drink breezers on rooftops.
It's about winning games on the field .

As for Cronk and Moylan , did we even enquire about there services or was it all speculation as it is on here with EVERY player that's up for a contract renewal or is looking for a sea change ?

For an average player, he got one hell of a send off by Dogs fans. They loved the guy. I think he'll be a revelation under Cleary. Hasler damaged him beyond belief imo.

Agree. Hasler caused untold damage to some of the players on his roster. Lichaa, Hopoate and Grub especially.
