Judging by Todd Payton's Press conf is sounds like the dominos are about the start falling...
Deardon to Cows,
Clifford to Knights
I think Walters to Broncos
and we may get a player but not sure who...

I think they held off until after tonight games with some teams having a bye next week.

They got some backs,
We'll take some one to take Talaus place in the starting line up at centre.

Seyfarth was disparaged on this forum when it was clear as day he would be a very good forward. Talau is exactly the same and will develop into a fine centre. Kepaoa had centre written all over him from the day he arrived.

Uncle Wayne was after Seyfarth before he had played NRL, that indicated to me the kid had some ability and that has been proven over the last month

Seyfarth has always showed effort and desire to win and apparently a really hard trainer
He has earned an extension

We need to get Mikaeles contract in order.

Seyfarth also

I think it was the Pom that said Maguire is a big fan some time ago so hope he is on to it.

Hopefully we don’t make a mess of it like we did with McIntyre.

What mess?
He's faded off into obscurity while we re-signed Seyfarth instead.
I'll take that mess every day.

I would call it a successful screw up, because according to those in the know, we wanted to sign McIntyre ahead of Seyfarth, but Titans got the deal done.

Regardless of what McIntyre is doing now, a screw up is a screw up.

"Those in the know" know that the club didn't want him and made no real effort to keep him. They massaged his ego a bit on his way out the door.

Rubbish.

He does have some critical flaws in his game at the moment, but he also has some real positive aspects of his game. The ball he threw last night and the one against the Knights to set up tries were first class, passing on the run. He also looks comfortable under the high ball and doesn't drop nearly as many as Kaepoa or Cini has. He also takes hard carries out of our own end.

He is young and needs the bad aspects of his game trained out. Whether that is done in first grade or in Reserves depends on depth and how much Madge wants to dent his confidence.

The young players need to learn and do so by making mistakes. Unfortunately, being introduced into WTs' NRL team is different to being introduced unto the Storm or Panthers. Furthermore, our players are usually in the NRL before they're ready, like Talau, due to necessity. Talau has been shifted out to the wing because WTs let Korobeite and JAC slip and we have no wingers. It's not ideal and Talau should now be given time in the centre position.

Most definitely Talau has been asked for perform tasks that are above his maturity, but hopefully now that JTJ is back and seems to fit on the wing, Tommy can get that proper chance in his preferred position.
The mistakes are frustrating as heck but I think you're right, most young blokes need that time to get the micro concentration lapses out of their game. Same as Thomas Mc with poor handling in his carries. The efforts are there with both of them and that's a huge plus.
I'd certainly be hanging on to both these young guys.

Many on here watch but don't know what they're watching. Seyfarth has always looked good.

Can't agree there. If he has always looked good, where are all the stories about him setting the world on fire. He played well last night and I hope it continues but to say he's always looked good shows how low you've set the bar. In my opinion he's been average until now.

Here's a tip for life young fella.

Trust your own opinions. Don't wait for the opinions of others to form yours.
That's how winning's done.

Has he played one game this year?

Seyfarth is doing for us this year what McIntyre did last year. Tackle hard.

The Pom mentioned late last year we had him signed but screwed it up. That is my point.

Seyfarth's a footballer.
McIntyre's a tin can.
McIntyre only contributed missed tackles, poor positioning, slow line speed and plodding runs.

There is no comparison. McIntyre was as useful as Kyle Lovett.

I liked Sammy Mac. honest footballer never shirked his workload and put his body on the line. had a decent pair of hands for a forward and had an excellent tackling technique. it doesn't look as if we're missing him right now but I was very disappointed like a lot of others that we let him go.

Seyfarth is a prospect. effort player. let's hope we lock him up.

Expect us to sign an outside back that we missed out on the last time he hit the market.

Hopefully not one who is looking for a pension...

Auburnon80, that you?

And if DWZ, not bad for the right price.

Obvs everyone could, but we need to find an X-factor in the backs. Perhaps Laurie or AD can turn into that guy. Maybe Simpkins in the forwards if he keeps growing.
