Agree, a tall strong winger who can burst over the try line has been something missing since The Tank.

Looking for a big $$ 2nd rower preferably.
Plenty of movement for not off contract players.
Plenty still to play out, Issac Liu is a target but will be tough to pry him away from Roosters, Finucane’s asking price a bit much & likely a shark.

Tigers turn to Maumalo
The Wests Tigers have dropped their interest in Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and turned to Warriors winger Ken Maumalo as they look to strengthen their outside backs.

Maumalo has been given permission to negotiate by the Warriors and the Tigers have a longstanding interest in the blockbusting winger, who has a relationship with coach Michael Maguire through the New Zealand national team.

The Tigers had been in talks with Canterbury over Watene-Zelezniak but were unable to strike a deal, prompting the Tigers to look elsewhere.

Their gaze turned on Maumalo, who has been one of the game’s biggest yardage eaters over the past three years. A deal is expected to be for the remainder of this season and another three years after that. All told, it will cost the Tigers in excess of $1 million for the Kiwi international.

Looking for a big $$ 2nd rower preferably.

Liu would be much better option than Finucane, IMHO.
Hopefully we keep Mikaele as he is (as was Aloiai) type of players we don't have in spades.

K.M.will blossom under Madge...he is just the type Madge can get the best out of...they both get on well and K.M.respects Madge...recipe for sucess I reckon...but I have been wrong on many occasions,lets hope for the best guys....

In years gone by our negotiators would have copped any deal put forward to them , but it NOW looks like theyve got the right people and we arent being slugged with duds and heavy deals.

Wingers in the modern game do more! Running meters are one of the most important stats to look at. They are used for dirty runs! Help out the forwards. Finishing and defence round out the top 3 traits that are probably the most important aspect of a winger. Obviously safe hands.
