Harley Smith-Shields from the Raiders is in talks. He’s currently injured and possibly out for the rest of the season but looking for a contract. Centre apparently.

Very good player. He would likely start over Jet and Talau. He’s first grade ready.

What is his injury, ACL ?, don't think I have seen him play, is he big or quick ?

Named in jersey 17 for raiders nsw cup team this week.

They have lots of centres thpugh so prob looking for opportunity esp given injury as has Croker, Kris, Scoot, Timoko and its looking like Charnze in front of him. Can play centre, wing and played fb in the flegg gf in 2019. Would offer good utility value and quality depth

Croker’s done, Kris is only fresh. Scott is a drop kick, If he’s a good player he’d back himself to make it in Canberra in my opinion

Hes an all round talent. Not huge or fast just a good footy player. Reminds me of Craig Innes who used to play for Manly.

He's coming back from injury, if he was fit he would've got a run this year considering he already played first grade last year.

If we got the leg up like Eels and South get most game we would be in the 8 as well.
With the way the game is going these days it is a massive help and easy for the refs to disguise it. The 6 again rule needs to go in my eyes.

i'd be interested to see how many for and against 6 agains the tigers have had compared to other teams
surely we must be on the lower end of the receiving end for them

Its not so much how many '6-Agains' that you get, its when in the tackle count that you get them. The majority of Parramatta's were on Tackle 3 or 4 whereas the Tigers were getting them on Tackle 1.

If the six again happens on 1st or 2nd tackle it should be a penalty it would then stop teams abusing the system

Try to play hardball, while we were in the stronger position, something better came along, so we took it.
No hard feelings, its business.

Apparently DWZ wanted a longer deal than what we were prepared to offer.I back our clubs judgment on a decision like that and not a player who wants longer employment

If the warriors are paying it , then looks like he was right. Makes sense , I guess for the warriors . I don’t see much expensive players to fill out thier cap .

He probably wanted to stay a 1 club player but after being told there was no future at the warriors for him he decided we would be probably the best offer he was going to get.Sadly these days very few players can achieve the honour of being a 1 club player over many years and i fully respect anyone who can,it is something i miss in our game these days

Think what happened is both clubs worked out who paid what of his +$800k for the remaining 1.5 years of his contract,but DWZs manager wanted a further year at that same rate on top of all that
If the warriors are silly enuff to come to that party,they/ll be paying a significant premium for an average player over the term of his contract...and serious question marks on "average" based on his recent performances
