Joys of a winning team
If we got the leg up like Eels and South get most game we would be in the 8 as well.
With the way the game is going these days it is a massive help and easy for the refs to disguise it. The 6 again rule needs to go in my eyes.
i'd be interested to see how many for and against 6 agains the tigers have had compared to other teams
surely we must be on the lower end of the receiving end for them
Its not so much how many '6-Agains' that you get, its when in the tackle count that you get them. The majority of Parramatta's were on Tackle 3 or 4 whereas the Tigers were getting them on Tackle 1.
TBH i turned off at half time, i knew the outcome and already have enough anger pent up and didn't need the extra load
i have noticed the tigers (refs) are terrible at when they give them away
You turned the game off at a 14-6 half time score ?
Considering how lop sided the ref was in the 1 half, it was to our credit we were only down by 8. You couldn’t have possibly known we’d have a player sent off in the first 5 minutes and concede 3 tries in 10 minutes following
I felt pretty optimistic about our chances after the Liddle try.
A stack of possession sway our way and we were right in the ball game. Unfortunately we probably seen even less ball in the 2nd half compared to the 1st
Pretty fed up with being caned by the refs nearly every week actually. It just ruins any possible enjoyment I could get watching my team play. I really detest bias and unfairness more than anything else, whether it be in sport, politics or in life in general.
There is always a very high chance that we will be on the wrong end of the ledger in every game and we end up having to fight even harder to try an eek out a win. We are not that strong a team, we are average and we need some things to go in our favour sometimes to even have a chance. It must be demoralising for the team to be penalised out of the game 9 times out of 10. I know it demoralises me, I just can’t watch it anymore.
Felt the Blore sin bin was real soft. A penalty probably fair but a sin bin was overkill and was the start of the 3 tries in 10mins slide. The try scored when Laurie was taken mid air was rough too. I get he'd already knocked the ball forward while mid air however the defender still took the man in the air resulting in him hitting the ground hard and having to go off for a HIA.
The 6 agains and penalties were also stacked heavily in Eels favour (9 - 4 Penalties and 8 - 5 ruck infringements). Having said all that it was likely the 14 errors, 46 - 20 missed tackles and 28 -14 ineffective tackles that ultimately cost us the game. Majority of our matches that we've lost our ineffective tackle count would be through the roof. I've never seen a team attempt so many lazy snatch and grab type tackles. The amount of times defenders are left clutching thin air or failing to wrap up the ball amazes me every week.
You don't think there's a correlation between infinite set restarts and penalties and missed/ineffective tackles..??
Although not wrapping up the ball carrier is a simple technique that we've struggled with immensely for 20 years. And still no plan to fix it.
