I disagree. I think that Nofo is the same player he has always been. Great hit-ups. Can finish a try. Poor defensively.

I think if the team starts performing Nofo will be just as good as he has been in the past. I also don't see him as anywhere near a top winger in the comp. We overpaid with too long a contract but I don't see it as a club killer. It's not in Mbye, Reynolds or Packer realm or even close to it.

He runs sideways too much these days and his defence is so bad he shouldn’t be in first grade. In fact his defence is an embarrassment.

Benji taught him to run sideways.

Hes worth $1mill..and u know exactly what yr gonna get..a total game changer for us
He wants to play hooker,but Grant is in the way and he cant play anywhere else...so Smith cant be entirely happy.
But being the professional that he is,hes dealing with it the best way he knows...by playing great footy
But theres no long term future for both of them at Storm,and hes permiited to negotiate from this Nov for 23 when Bellamy may not even be around

A much better gamble for WTs than a part time enforcer who spends half the season on the sidelines,or a worn out Storm mini middle forward..because theres absolutely no risk in Smith,unlike a TPJ or finnucane

If we look at Signing a player like finucane, even if the overs are perceived to be too much, we need to realise the effect on the whole picture. That extra money/year might be the answer to getting the ball rolling and might not be the big deal as an individual transaction.

The player you break the bank on and play overs for needs to be a player that transforms the club, someone that makes the players around them better. Is Finucane that player? Probably not.

So In 20 odd years the Tigers have signed up 2 or 3 good players ? And the last one in 2010 ish ?

Signing guys like Hodgo, Pat Richards, Scott Prince, Shane Elford, paul whatuira are all good players. But yes it has been a while since we had a really good signing.



Could have picked up isaiah papali'i this year but was deemed not good enough

Broncos might be chipping in some but yet we still managed to value an underperforming forward in the wooden spooner team and recruit him with inclusion of an UPGRADE to his current contract!

Storm obviously lower $$$ but someone said he doesn't really want to go to NQ so you would have to think if we put a pretty good offer on the table we might have a chance. But don't want to leave this too long as we all know what happens then.
