At long last it is time the club backed a coach and sacked a few troblemakers in the playing group

Everyone is saying we lack leaders and a lot of our players are just happy been 1st grader.. Guess what that is 100% correct and thats why it blows my mind why we are not chasing hard for Funicane.. we have the money and this is a guy by all accounts is a true professional and demands standards.. Shit that sounds like a player we could use :face_palm:
For the 1st time is ages we have quite a bit of money so why not start the domino effect and try and buy him as everyone agrees once we get someone here others will follow as players don't want to come here themselves.

3 weeks ago after ago when all clubs went on the rep bye week we all thought we would have some signings announced in that 2 week period but we seem to be the only club staying quite. Do they not leave the office to see the club is getting dragged from pillar to post ??? Club has said nothing in weeks..

Exactly, Curtis is injury prone, we’re not The Family Club, he was happy to leave previously and he’s not good enough to warrant Prodigal Son entitlements.

We weren’t really successful at the Tigers. I think we had five different coaches in six years.

This is why I don’t think sacking another coach is the way forward for us. Players can see it and understand that a revolving door of coaches isn’t good for their careers.

He was right in what was said - we don't have enough winners here. We need real competitors who are willing to do what's necessary to win a premiership. Seems our current 'premiership' is making the 8.

You only need to look to Ash Barty for how to prepare, set goals, do what's required to achieve. Look at the Cronks, Slaters, Clearys who do extras after every session.

I'm happy to defend Nofo when I think his defence is incorrectly criticised but I feel it's unforgivable turning up to training hungover. This demonstrates someone not willing to do what's necessary. You have training tomorrow you stay off the turps and leave early. I would have given him a couple of weeks in Reserves.

In my triathlon days we often left early because we had training the next morning - and we were genuinely nuffies - not professionals getting paid a small fortune.

We have an attitude problem, we need competitors like JWH, B Smith, Munster etc
