Trust me, I would not lie to you, I am an honest man, I once won a prestigious honesty award: Hastings will surprise many of you, he will be a gun for us.

AD is a good defender at 82.3% tackle efficiency. He's been been thrown around by Madge and not allowed to grow into the 5/8 roll. If anything, Madge doesn't have the ability to manage the squad and allow players to excel based on their strengths.


Where would that place him in the centre rankings? i also think that this does not include air swings & being so far out of position someone else has to attempt the tackle for you.

Hard to say, I'm not going to create an excel spreadsheet for centres let alone 5/8s across the NRL in terms of their tackling efficiency.

However as mentioned before he's a good defender and much more creative with the ball than Mbye, he also has an excellent kicking game.

Time will tell on Sunday.

To me this is the part of his game he needs to work on. He can tackle as well. He hits hard. The problem is he takes the wrong option at times and doesn't work hard enough off the ball.

It'll be interesting when Hastings gets here. I hope AD kills it at 6 and tries to make the spot his own. I think AD can also play well at centre so maybe Hastings and Brooks in the halves and AD at centre will work.

AD is to me one of the guys we should be building around.

His defensive positioning is what let's him down and that's made even worse at centre.

Still for the roosters to retain him they may not have the money to do so. He’ll probably command just under a mil in the open market. Especially if he markets himself as a fullback.

What is it, that you are seeing in him?

He has been injured a chunk last few seasons but was a standout in lower grades. That’s why I said Harti will know him well, as he would know his talent but also impacts/risks the injuries have had on him.

There was a lingering family issue there with Smith that got under Burgess' skin...other than that,havent seen him do anything of note
