There are players off contract we can make a play for now and I think we should. They might not be big names , but being stuck behind The Big Name Players at their current respective clubs , will have them hungry to get a contract away from that club and join a club where they can show their worth and play NRL Footy more than what they are now.

agree with most of the list. I think our current centres are similar to Taulagi and Tuala, so I'd be hesitant to go after them. Shibasaki is an error machine as well. Billy Smith would be brilliant, but being a Bondi junior he might be hard to prise away. Gosievski for depth would help, hits like a bus.

Ieremia has resigned with Melbourne, don't see him leaving anytime soon. King and Schonig are potential targets but unsure if we need anymore front rowers, especially with Pole and Mavoni coming through. don't know much about Turahui admittedly, but he sounds like a prospect.

keep an ear out for a bloke by the name of Jack Howarth. Melbourne poached him from the Broncos. probably the best back row/lock prospect I've seen in a very long time. they're being very patient with him.

Like Max King from that bunch. He plays like a winner and a fighter. What’s been his story at Melbourne? Was starting almost every game with the Titans. Injured or just playing cup?

It’s a tad far away but what if we targeted Isiaah Papalii for 2023? Can negotiate with other clubs from November 1 and I’m sure with parras cap, they can’t afford to give him what he’s really earned. I’m sure he will re sign with parra for cheaper because they gave him the opportunity but Edge second rowers don’t get more dynamic. So hard to put down on first contact and offers a ton of second phase play. He is easily worth 6-700k

Injuries have forced their hand, and last I heard we had moved on from signing him

I would keep all but 2 of our forwards, i think they are a great young pack and will bear fruit next year. The backline is where the money needs to be spent.

One player I'd be looking at signing if it were for the right price would be Dylan Walker.
I'd be looking at him to play as an out and out centre. He's still got plenty of pace and got some experience to go with the young ones we have

Our best three signings in the last year or so have been Doueihi, Laurie and Stef.

All three debuted at top 4 clubs and had a blocked pathway despite being next in line. AD had a decent run but they wanted something else.

Pay overs for one more leader in their late 20s by all means (which TPJ ain't, btw). Otherwise look at the ladder, start at the top, look at the guys in those top teams who can't crack a regular gig but perform when injuries or origin strike, and go nuts.

Or play as slow as he did.
