You said you are over being patient and accepting losing. That's fine. So your options are to: (a) keep following and take it in your stride, (b) keep following and vent continuously, (c ) quit.

It doesn't make one difference to me if you support Tigers or not, but if it causes that much drama you have to ask yourself whether or not it's worth it.

Nor do I defend the club at all costs - you asked me earlier my thoughts about Tigers, I think I was fairly moderate. We are doing some good things, some not good things. I think we are mentally weak. I just don't see any point complaining about it every week, otherwise it would stop being a fun past-time for me, something interesting to be a part of every weekend.

It's like calling for the coaches head. You can do it every possible opportunity, and fine, but it has no impact on what the Tigers actually do. At some point I think it becomes pointless to keep calling down the coach.

That's not superiority or anything, it's just my reaction to supporting Balmain and Wests Tigers. They've been rubbish for most of my life, you need to find ways to cope with that.

I've been pissing and moaning about this club for years, and every year people like yourself have a go at me for it saying it doesn't achieve anything. You know what doesn't achieve anything? Trying to glaze over the fact that the club is doing a shit job. Fans have the right to voice their opinion and just because I'm not happy to follow the club with the blind faith you do, doesn't make me less of a fan, or a fan that should just "quit".

I don't think I have any influence at all on how the club operates. I don't think shouting at them or complaining to them makes much difference. I think the club already knows what needs to be done, but unfortunately in sport it's a challenge to succeed amongst so much brutal competition. I think their long-term plan is appropriate, and I'm prepared to see it out long term with the people currently in charge.

I told you before I've met Pascoe now a bunch of times, met Hartigan, a few other folks within the organisation. Never met Madge. I met them in the context of The Ambush trying to get some member/fan engagement going. They are good people, some of them are even quite impressive. I have no idea how much money there is about the place but I'd say not a whole lot - I think they get by on a fairly modest budget and that most cash goes straight back into football operations.

I believe in any type of management the situation is rarely black and white. Within my own career, almost nobody outside my organisation really knows what I do for a living or how my job works. Within my organisation, the difference between success or lack of it can be very nebulous. I know a lot of smart people who have very different ways of doing things, and smart people can still fail to get the desired outcomes. I think the same about rugby league - there's on-field, fine, visible to all. But off-field, who really knows what's going on? I won't be criticising things about which I have no knowledge at all.

I don't think you quite understand me and that's OK. I'm no cheerleader. I'm a big advocate of moderation, the middle-ground. I won't be high-fiving anyone who thinks Tigers are doing great, but also I don't think it's all that bad. It's football and it keeps going.

I cope with being a Wests Tigers fan by letting go of the things I can't personally change. I'm never going to quit, so there has to be another way of handling the inevitable losses. You are not going to quite either. My personal solution is not to complain about the Tigers at every opportunity (I am not saying you do this, I am just saying I avoid it) because if I was to comment on all the things I didn't like, continuously, nobody on here would ever get a word in and I'd be writing more and more essays.

We’re more of a known quantity. With the exception of a couple of ESL players we’ve signed no one. We can go into another season without any expectation.

TPJ doesn't want out, Broncos are so happy for him to leave, they'll be paying part of his salary next year.

They will need to be vastly superior because as bad as we're going, they are EIGHT points behind us.

I know he is a goal kicker (but we got a couple now), what else does he have going for him? i.e. Defence, speed, footy smarts?

Lomax is a very good defender, quick and a natural footballer.
He was one of the players Madge tried to get to the club.
He also had a go at Saab, Brimson, Reece Walsh and Sami, so he is a good judge of talent.
