Listening to Brad Arthur this morning when interviewed was interesting. Basically, he said results will determine his future and he knows if he side does not produce he is gone. I admire his honesty.

Yeah he's built that team into a top 4 side but they are perennial chokers in the finals. Don't think he has what it takes to get them the title.

I don,t often agree with the talking heads, but Kents comments regarding the Eels was spot on. Basiccally that the top sides have about 5 very good strike players, and the Eels do not. With the Tigers , we don't have one player that would be of equal standard to these players. We have a long way to go. 5 yrs at the minimum to obtain the players required to compete against the top sides. With the management, coaching and recruitment we have, it may take far longer.

Interesting to note that not only is Brandon Smith off contract at the end of 2022 but Harry Grant actually has a Mutuak option for 2023 so if effectively off contract at the end of 2022 at this stage as well. I say go all in for Harry


last year showed having Grant in our team isn't priority and I would extend that to Smith as well.

We had Grant and still missed the finals terribly, we have far more important areas to fill before throwing marquee money at Hooker.

Without Grant we’d be last.

But seriously, I’d throw 1Milly at Grant. Even 1.1..

The influence and everything he had on the whole of Wests Tigers, I actually never felt or seen that effect a player can do to a team.

The 19 yr old nsw cup player or the injury riddled bloke who missed 8 tackles vs the Warriors and left dummy half empty and tjrows a bunch of average passes. You give them to someone else snd take the Origin star

Only for 2 years and Grant would not leave the Storm until 2023 anyway.
You could offload Liddle pretty easy I reason and Simpkin could be a super sub / back up.

Or you could get rid of Simpkin and keep the better hooker at only 24.

At this stage Simpkin is below average - will he ever get above the mediocrity line....who knows. Anyone can play 80 mins Mate. It is how you play the eighty minutes. The games I saw Simpkin play in the NRL, he was not an 80 minute player either.

I think I would get rid of the guy who also can't play 80 minutes, stands with his hands on his hips after he passes the ball, hogs the ball in try scoring situations, slow as a wet week, no experience and couldn't tackle a decent size sandwich.

This is possibly the worst take on any up and coming player I have ever read.

Mate, what people are saying about Liddle is much worse. If you don't like it ..... we are all entitled to our opinions, this is a public forum.

I never said you weren't entitled to your opinion, I said that that particular opinion is awful.

Also, I'm a fan of Liddle. But some of his critiques are warranted. And in the spirit of opinions, he and Simpkin should be sharing the hooking role.
