Asiata is no top class player but he could've been a short term option to fill a glaring weakness in our roster. We don't have a ball playing lock and signing him on a 1 year deal would've made a world of sense for us

I don’t think will have a ball playing 13 while that dinosaur is in the coaching box. We’ve gotta be one of only 3-4 teams in the league that still plays the 13 as a third prop.

Out of the teams left in the finals we have the following third props playing at Lock :

J Turbo
I Yeo (probably more of a 2RF but not far from prop)
N Brown
D Finucane

The two teams just dumped from the finals had the following props playing at lock:

Big Tino
Suaso Sue

Its really only Souffs and Roosters bucking the trend with Radley, Murray etc, with Storm occassionally throwing the Cheese in, the rest have props or big back rowers that are not much different to what we play there.

For those who want to have an inside listen into how our club deals with signings. Adrian Tripodina is a business man who was dealing with out club during the big 4 stuff up and lifts the lid on just how poor our head of office actually is.

Honestly a fantastic listen and will leave you gobsmacked.

Been trying to tell people but no one listens.

Did you say something?

They do but they are origin level players it’s rare to get ball players that are tough enough on the middle. Most teams don’t have the players to get it done. Cam Murray is the prototype he’s close to the best forward on the game. Does it all in attack and defence.

Storm do okay. The players are hard to find that do the total job as a forward and ball player.
Yeo, Radley, Murray are probably the best in the business. I think Tuki Simpkins can fill the role longer term.

Storm have multiple forwards that ball play, mostly Welch and Brandon Smith but Finucane does it too sometimes.

Knight routinely use Watson as a ball playing middle forward and titans routinely use peachey as a ball playing middle forward

They have better players no surprise. We don’t have the cattle. Can only coach to the strengths of the players. Twal, Mikalele, Ofehengaue you are asking for trouble having them ball play.

I'm not asking them to ball play, I'm asking them to sign someone who can. John Asiata would've been dirt cheap and could fill that role as a short term fix but we didn't seem interested. They must think they will get it from someone at the club

Hence why we should be looking at Peachey but it’s unlikely

No thanks. What leaves me gobsmacked is that you think I would be influenced by you telling me what will leave me gobsmacked. Wasting your time there, man.

The mans just suggesting it for people who might be interested ? Why be an asshole for ?

I thought I was more polite in my response than you are to mine. Is "asshole" allowed now moderators?

Could care less what’s allowed. Just calling you out for what it is. There was no need to respond like that

Thanks for the post. Was a good listen. Adrian is a charismatic speaker and obviously good at what he does for a crust.

He did however admit a number of times he wasn’t privy or didn’t know “ Not in the circle” and he assumed, speculated and offered his opinion etc etc. most points repeated on here every day by various posters, which may or may not resonate with people.

Mate you need to chill out ? Worrying about bog average players moving and us doing nothing is not good for your mental health.

A stern reality for you, there are no decent players on the market, and even more so no battlers that’s would improve this side. There’s too many people on this forum that are just crying out for us to sign anyone just for the sake of it. There’s no one out there worth it right now so just relax

We’ll said.
