I've been told by a pretty decent source that Ash Taylor is close to signing with us. Not a done deal but apparently we are in talks

Doesn't make much sense to be with us having four halves on the roster already. I know Doueihi will miss some games and Hastings is an unknown quantity but seems a bit pointless to me. Not sure on length or cost

Taylor is a highly talented player and if on his game will be a huge asset to WTs.

Would be a perfect replacement for brooks. Are you suggesting brooks to hooker?

I read a Fox article which indicated the Warriors were chasing Luke Metcalfe from the Sharks. He's a very exciting player who tore our 'right side defence' to shreds.

I would throw a crazy number at metcalfe, the guy will be a superstar.

With AD out we arguably don't have any decent halves. Hastings is unknown, Brooks seems to be cooked and Madden isn't good enough. Taylor is worth a punt. He couldn't be any worse.

Now a lot probably depends on what the plan is with Hastings - will he be 13 or 14 or will he be in the halves. Obviously the other question is Brooks future. Even if Brooks is staying if Hastings plan is to play at 13 then you need another half and Taylor price and talent wise fits the bill
