I don't think we're in a position to be picky about certain players our club is all about being gritty no matter your reputation as long as you give 100% we don't care so many we need to take look at the outcasts like Scott like elliot who have something to prove

Patience is the key. For too long we have brought in players with issues because we have no plan for youth. They drag the team down from an effort perspective. We need to be selective and get players that are pros or more young guys that are stuck behind great players. It’s the only recipe that has worked Utoikamanu, Laurie, Douhiei, Blore, Twal, Aloai, Matterson we’re all at good clubs with no chance of consistent first grade.

I think big things were planned for Stefano but I do like your thinking. Until our juniors are ready, it looks like our only option is to raid other clubs - yes, we may overs but I feel its a better bet than getting discount first graders at the back end of their careers.

We are rumoured to sign all flops Scott, Elliot, Napa, Ash Taylor. Appreciate these rumours are usually nonsense but we have to lift our game and standards. With youth looking for an opportunity it’s a gamble but it’s better than known flops to dill a salary cap.

I don’t mind Ash Taylor I think there’s a decent footballer in there, he’s another one who’s struggled with the price tag he has on him. Someone mentioned it earlier has a bit of a Scott Prince vibe to him, Sheens is back shortly so you never know.

Good point, but we haven’t had any word on signings, so we don’t know who we are signing?

But, there is not a lot of players available atm, and we need to have players, hopefully we leave a spot or two to get anyone coming on line later?

Can only consider what is available. Two of the most desired players in the game embarrassed their club - with one of the most admired cultures this week. Leadership, culture, - huge disconnect between expectations of fans, and the reality.

IMO Scott is an improvement on what we have (right at the moment, with our inexperience, inconsistencies and injuries).

At his best, Scott struck me as a win at all costs type player on the field. Something tigers are really lacking in. If he’s fit and ready to go for the preseason, I’d offer him a short term deal to get us through 2022.

I’ve kind of lost track with our roster spots at the moment so I won’t argue this point.

These may not be marquee people but if we are going to thumb our nose at the likes of Ash Taylor, Curtis Scott, Dylan Napa, Adam Elliott then we have no idea where we are actually at as a football team. Apart from Laurie, Douhei, Stef and possibly Blore, Offa and Lucy the rest are bog average. The forementiond names may not be marquee but they are better than most of our current rabble.

Scouring the other forum on League Unlimited there is some news that we should be expecting two solid forwards from start of preseason training.
He is sworn to secrecy as to not impact the validity of the deal but he has been open with who it isn’t (scratch off all the current off contract players).
It is defined as a Lucy type deal and it seems the player is still contracted to their current club.
If this comes to fruition, it sounds like we’ll have some good news to discuss soon.

Hopefully we won’t sign Napa at all, you may as well sign a tree stump and stand it in the field for all the good he is.
