Problem is they aren’t really what you would call experienced 9’s (Grant or Smith) they would pretty much be at their next club for their career and starting and still have plenty of years in them. Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do it, but it would most likely rule out Simpkin as being the clubs long term 9 as either of those two are young enough to be it. Liddle or Simpkin will be career back ups if they were to remain.
All said, Grant and Simpkin would be a great combo. But Queensland could be calling.

Well Grant is off contract at the end of 22. So free to talk in a few weeks and we are one of the few club woth cap space to pay him a fortune a year early if he can get a release. Obviously he has a good relationship to Madge. Should be presenting a $1m offer on Nov 1st

Wynnum stacked with nrl experience and were always going to be too good but Collins esp in the new way nrl is played where being a smaller more agile prop is ok def a good option
