I would go after Papali’i for next season Parra are in a bind and need the cap space for there so called favourites that would give them something else to play with not a lot but it would help .

If Parra were smart they'd cut ties with Matterson before losing Papali'i. Let's hope they're not. I'd throw a few bucks at Paulo too, really get them excited....


Matterson took up “his” option for next season, so it’s going to be hard for Parra to just cut ties with him.
He took up the option as he knows that not many clubs would go near him, as he is a problem wherever he goes.

His career went down as soon as he left us.

If push comes to shove, I’d very much look into upping our offer to bring him over.

Even a slight upgrade of 633k over 3 years, gives the extra year as parra are only offering 2 years plus for a 23 year old forward may work best for us.

1.9 mil over 3 years or 900 k over 2 years

Would be missing out on a margin of around 1 million if he was to reject, let’s turn up the heat a little and make parra sweat

Packer got 3 weeks for his elbow on Matterson(the defender), Packer took a hit up and made a Bline for RM elbow cocked, Ferguson had to rush off his wing to literally catch RM stumbling, he did not re-cover for 10 weeks. I have been out of the loop is he coming back or who from Parra are we looking at. Whilst I don't like RM for how he left the Tigers, if I were him I would feel very apprehensive about coming back.

I highly doubt Matto would come back to the Tigers he was all about money that’s why he left he demanded the Tigers paid him more than what he was getting paid but they said no he agreed to the deal and that’s it if he kept playing like he did he would have easily gotten a better deal during the next negotiations

the word is rocked but replace the R with C as in...having your elbow co......ed

800-900K for 3 years I would be ok with it that would definitely make Parra sweat

Matto played in a pre season game for Parra that year, A stray ball went near him - And his effort to get to it was nothing short of a hung over park footballer...
He'd switched off well before Russ turned the lights out on him.

No no Packer wasn't suspended for the clash on Matterson.

He was done for a crusher tackle later in the game.

It's an automatic filter that is applied, it is not an administrator going through and censoring it manually.

Im continually confused how people believe that Simpkins' performance was better than Liddles this year. Liddle may not have been great but Simpkin was way out of his depth.

The team's best performance all year was against Souths with Simpkin playing. Not a coincidence

He was also the one that Burgess ran straight past to score the winning try. Yes great game.

Ok cool, now Im just telling you why they are two completely different scenarios. Giving up faith in Cini has multiple factors to it.. Wheres he gonna play? Fullback? No I think most would rather see Dillon or Laurie there, centre? Pass. Wing? Not quick enough. Simpkin on the other hand, his only competitor is Liddle in this squad, of whom cant pass a ball. Clearly the club see it fit to keep him on given no one has established themselves in that position.

Liddle can't pass a ball? Really? Sorry, I (semi-) respectfully disagree. Liddle is the best hooker in the club, and one of WT best players of 2021. End of story. Simpkin has a lot of improving to do in 2022 to unseat the starting hooker role from Liddle.

If your satisfied with his service, thats on you. Lob passes, tired after 30mins. But if your okay with that, cool. Let me ask you something, why are we talking to Hodgson then? Is it to play liddle on the bench? How many years do you want to invest in this bloke?
