Joey Leilua is back dumping on the club again since he's ruined his boxing match by getting covid. "I wish i could take it back, to be honest. Every week we'd change to different tactics. We just didnt have a system."
In a shocking turn of events, coach uses different tactics when versing different teams.

If the club took up an option denying me making 600-700 for another season, I’d be filthy too. Obviously he’s bitter, but I don’t think he’s off the mark with much of what he’s said. The proof is in the performances.

Yeh but I'm going to back the club on this one even though we are probably partly to blame ?

Don’t get me wrong, he’s still a moron. I’m not defending his right to say it. I’m sure a lot of players have left this club over the years with similar feelings, but most have been classy enough to move on with their career. He’s like the guy who was dumped by his girlfriend and his defence mechanism is to claim that he never wanted to be with her anyway.

The fact no other club picked him up, and he’s playing in a second tier English competition tells you everything you need to know in regards to how good the decision was to punt him.

Not even the Dolphins wanted him and Wayne's coached him before..... toxic comes to mind

I dont think brooks can pass both ways lol, Im fairly sure he only passes one way

The season he won halfback of the year he was playing both sides of the field ?‍♂️

Yeah but passing from dummy half is different though, im sure he'll be fine one way, but the other I dunno

Joey is saying we changed defensive strategies every few weeks.... he's an idiot but he's bang on. Our defence was awful and every second week they were defending differently, I have no doubts that he's telling the truth to be honest

Not sure why he's angry at the club for though, he was entirely unprofessional while he was here and a massive let down

Because he’s 600-700 out of pocket for next season. It’s easy to see why he’s bitter.

My point is he's got no one to blame but himself for that though. Maybe don't get fat and lazy if you want to keep playing NRL Joey ?

You can’t put brains in a statue. If the bloke wasn’t a complete goose he would probably never have played for us… or the Raiders… or the Knights.

I've been waiting for the anticipated flow of NRL players wanting to join WT now that Timmy has managed to get his feet under a Concord desk. I'm still waiting.

We’ve done better in the last week than we have in the last 5 years.

He barely played First Grade last year - How on earth would defensive change up affect him?

The Wests Tigers have suffered another massive recruitment blow, losing outstanding second-rower Luciano Leilua to the North Queensland Cowboys.

The giant edge forward has also asked for a release from the final year of his contract in 2022 to join the Cowboys in the new year.

Shattered Wests Tigers officials are planning to issue a press release on Thursday morning.

The Cowboys have used the money they saved after missing out on barnstorming Penrith Panthers forward Viliame Kikau to sign Leilua on a three-year deal.

The Daily Telegraph understands he will be paid $700,000 a season.

It is known Leilua and his manager, Mario Tartak, have been disappointed with negotiations at the Wests Tigers for the last couple of months.

Little progress has been made since they began talks in August.

The signing of Isaah Papili'i from the Parramatta Eels last week on more than $600,000-a-year was the catalyst for Leilua to look elsewhere.

He felt undervalued.

The Leilua camp insists coach Michael Maguire is not the problem despite the coach’s well publicised falling out with his brother Joey.

It has more to do with the fact Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe has not once spoken to Tartak about the negotiations since August.

Fare thee well. Reminds me of Marsters - lazy and no improvement. The local Oportos will be grateful.
