You have to ask yourself why is it that Tigers players always want an early release from their contract but when we sign Papalii he honours his. It's a part of the clubs culture that needs to be changed

Well we get one, and then we lose one , I know Lucy had his faults in defence but we need his attack , so unless we have another backrower picked out , I think we have taken one step forward and 1/2 a step backwards

Our issue is defense mainly the side he is defending, this is a positive for us. He was a reserve at a struggling club that Hartigan thought he could fix.

Yes, there is. He's a professional footballer being paid to do his job. He's free to leave for 2023, but unless we get a great offer from the cows then there's zero incentive to weaken us and strengthen a rival.

We already have a million bucks to spend on 3 players. Having 1.4 million to spend on 4 players at this time of the year when few players are available immediately would be suicide.

I have no problem with decision by the club to let LL go as +$700k contract is just ridiculous money for a one dimensional player like him. I thought that something was up by the posted photos of him training. He definitely doesn’t seem to be a happy camper.
Believe that he will be no value to the club next year …. with his brothers sulk DNA probably assisting.
Sure that Sheens and Madge will work appropriate release arrangement with Cowboys.
There are plenty of talented backrowers emerging via our development and lower grade players.
Don’t see any problem with this although the media will get into us about… no doubt about that.

Starting the season with Lucy and Garner was not an option. Weak defenders. If we can’t get a replacement then Blore and Tuilagi will battle it out to partner Papalii next year.

They didn’t have to pay $800-900k maybe they just needed to pay around $600k & the raiders would of put in the rest

600k for a 32 year old hooker with 2 recent ACL operations would be a near criminal waste of money imo especialy as his current form was not good.The club can use it far better than that
