Does anyone know aht will happen if we do get Nathan Cleary in two years? Brooks to 5/8 and reynolds where?

Not sure at this stage.Gamble or Reynolds may play a bit a centre in the future.
Too far away to know who fits in where in 2020\. Ivan is building a very solid squad and some good players will probably more ISP than they deserve. Everyone week have had someone injured or replaced on form. I’d say this will continue under Ivan. It’s something we aren’t used to. If everyone fit and firing Ivan will have some real headaches.

Esan Marsters has re-signed until end of 2020

Great news, I’m glad as I thought he might have been swamped with offers from other clubs if we didn’t move soon.

Our engine room needs to be tied up
We have Packer for 4 years
Matalino for 3 years
Not sure about the others but Hope we tie up
Twal Eisenhuth and Aloiai for at least another 3 years
Taylor re signed last year but not sure how long
Rochow has played great to date and is a surprise for me
Liddle has played great since coming back from injury
If we can keep all these guys long term we will have a great forward pack for a long time
Our younger guys are only going to get better
I would also re sign Brooks before someone else does
If Benji continues to play well into the second half of the season then a 1 year extension to help Brooks further develop
There are no guarantees we will get Cleary junior the following year but if we do and we can hold onto our current key players then Reynolds may need to play a utility roll
6 Cleary / Marshall
7 Brooks
9 Liddle
14 Reynolds can't play in 6 or 9 position
Times ahead are looking good

Liddle, Brooks, Eisenhuth all need to be extended.

The Storm, Broncos, Roosters, Panthers, Eels, Raiders and Cowboys will all be chasing Nathan Cleary.

Aloiai - end of 2019
Eisenhuth - end of 2019
Matulino - end of 2020
Packer - end of 2021
Rochow - end of 2019
Taylor - end of 2020
Twal - end of 2020

I think the house is pretty much in order. Injuries happen and form comes and goes and players get old. I don't think there are any particular emergencies in any of the above that need any action taken until towards the end of this year at the earliest.

For now they need to decide who they want to extend out of Felise, Sue and Grant. It won't be all of them.

My daughter is tuned in to the twittersphere and says there is chatter about a swap between Tim Grant and Nathan Ross. Make of it what you will.
Sorry if this is old news!

We keep being tied to Nathan Ross will be interesting if he comes. He isn’t an obvious step up from anything we already have.

Would make sense we have a lot of depth at prop. With Milne leaving we are light on centres Kev, Marsters then we drop off to Tali.
Ross seems like a good player but one of those clubmen that will drop off if he leaves the Knights.

Issacko would be my pick young, speedy ,coming to a top club and probably at a good price. Not sure what he is like off the field ( we have a impressive culture you know) Dallas might have had a hard time getting a run.

We are lacking speed in backline .Don't think we have anyone who could outsprint the oppositoin over 50 metres plus. Saw that with Kev yesterday.

Cmon Kevin did great and got away. But yes, we have speed at halfback but not on many of the backs.

Would like to know what a fractured back means before we would sign Nathan. Depth for the right price, sure.

Nathan Ross is exactly what Ivan wants. A Clubman that gives a 100% and is a team player. I don't mind the swap. But we still need a fullback. Our forward pack is fine.

With Nathan Ross, he could patch up a lot of problems.

#1:

1\. Ross
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Marsters
4\. Naiqama
5\. Thompson

#2:
1\. Lolohea
2\. Thompson
3\. Marsters
4\. Naiqama
5\. Ross

#3:
1\. Thompson
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Marsters
4\. Ross
5 MWZ

He can play 1-5 and provide depth. Only problem is we can't keep leaving Tui out and stumping his development. I still truly believe in his ability so long as he can maintain his fitness and x-factor he showed in his early years at Warriors.

I love the Ross Dogg but he should stay in Newcastle. He’s from the mines it’s as bad as Teddy leaving the Tigers. Probably worse.
