I heard rumblings of a non-signing which has caused a bit of a stir at the club. The word is that the person Pascoe had lined up for the COE's barbershop has backflipped on their contract. So we are now on the hunt for an experienced barber.

Time will tell if this comes back to bite us. We're scrambling to sign somebody. Imagine opening the COE and the most important feature is closed. Would be highly embarrassing.

That’s good news if it was Pascoe’s personal barber. :+1:

If we can not win footy games next best thing losing with good hair cuts is a must for every player and fan

Speculation only , but it was supposed to be practically done and dusted prior to Christmas according to the Pom, I would have thought an announcement would be forthcoming ASAP as I believe Sheens was back at the desk Monday just gone.

I just have an inkling that his manager held off to see which direction the club was heading and weighing up the dollars and cents.
Its a huge decision for him, do I want more money now with an upgrade or wait for possibly more later on with teams like Storm or Rorters where they advocate long-term security, representative gigs etc.
The down side with waiting is a serious injury and/or form slump before he goes.
Hopefully the tigers have made him top dollar, 3yrs+ contract and we know the outcome soon.

I don't think it helps at all that half of the city and definitely some of the club members have COVID, it will be making everything a drama.

He also knows that he can make rep teams from the Tigers - some players need to be in the top teams to do this, he doesn't. I'd like to think that he is enjoying his time with the team and ends up staying with us for his career. I'd be happy for his next contract with us to be 5 x 1M - a sign of intent.

thats way too much imo. Weve only just got our cap sorted, we cant now blow it back out of shape again. Im not saying we should low ball him but we cant be giving him a mil a season. Maybe a big upgrade for this season if we have unused cap space and no more than 800k a season (even thats a touch high) moving forward. Give him as many years as necessary to get the signing over the line but start with a 4 year offer and increase it if his management wants more.
