If Maguire picks Roberts over Doueihi for anything more important than first go on the team bus karaoke I'll happily drive him to Centrelink myself.

Yes I think he will mature into a very good forward. We've invested time and effort into his development so let's reap the benefit.

Flipper hands needs a big season and to limit the mistakes in 2022.

Trials didn't do him many favours.
He actually made less mostakes per minute then almost evey other one of our forwards last year. So he has learnt
A lot of players would have to improve big time for that to happen...

Correct, and that would take longer than half a season.
I would like to see us play with more ball players and options in attack - a less regimented style. This includes AD on the field as well, most likely at centre.
The days of just your half and 5/8 being the playmakers are gone - just watch the way Bellamy had the Storm playing with Smith, Grant, Hughes, Munster, Paps, Hynes all receivers and all capable of leading the attack. So many options, that keeps the D guessing. With us it was a one out hit up or the ball went to Brooks every time - way too predictable and easy to defend.

On Mikaele... we have been so short of threatening forwards who can actually dent the defence that it makes me want to persevere with him. But if you compare him to leading front rowers in the comp, he has a long way to go.
Besides his mistakes in handling, he also falls asleep mentally in D, and his work rate is too low for a guy playing 2 x 20 min stints at best.
If Madge can get through to him he could be something but I’m not convinced he has the attitude, intent, hunger or desire - maybe at another club (and that’s a problem we seem to have and a discussion for another time).

Why do so many players claim to not bother speaking to their manager during contract period? I'd be talking to my manager very regularly if he's taking his 5-10%.

Its Mr 6 % job to deal with media enquiries...not the players,who are significantly less equipped to do so
