I've my own experiences in being assaulted by three men whilst walking home from school so I do have experience in similar thing like that which is why I can sympathise why you wouldn't want him here. There's no denying the guy is a piece of sh#t human but he's been convicted, given a punishment (yes I agree, it was inadequate and he deserved far worse) and has since been approved to return and has played for multiple clubs.

To call him average is wrong and not based in reality for anyone who has watched him play. He would bring aggression and go-forward to a forward pack that is severely lacking both of those thing.

You can make all the moral decisions you want but at the end of the day, this club will continue to have piss all success if it makes its decision based on morals. You try to get the best players available who can contribute to areas of the team that are lacking which is why Lodge should be signed. I don't want him here but I do think he would benefit the team in terms of results which is what the club is sorely lacking.

Personally I wouldn’t go there due to inconsistent form and discipline, and potential impact on an already poor culture.

But, if the club think he’s worth a shot, that’s where we need to give him a chance to explain himself and his motives. Based on that conversation/s you might sign him. This is an area I believe the club has a really poor record over the last 5 years or so. You listen to half our players interviewed and try and disagree with me.

I wouldn't ignore his exit strategy at all; rather it is the entire reason I would never sign him again.

He can stay with his other little btch mate at Parramatta or anywhere else they don't care about players crying their way out of their contract.

Doueihi meanwhile said there was no chance he himself would fill that kind of role, but was yet to speak interim coach Brett Kimmorley or head of football Tim Sheens over his long-term role.

Yeah he's got talent and leadership. Still needs to work on a few things though.

Better than Brooks however.
 
Could be a handy back up after Lucy leaving and may not be to expensive for the rest of the season and then look at him for next year if he goes ok

Obviously we all have a different take/value, but what I think it does show is that there is not a lot out there. Parra, Melbourne and the Dolphins will also be trying to do the same. Players (managers) have the upper hand atm.

One thing in our favour is our newly declared development club status, which means we should have the most money in our cap available for a few high value targets, seeing as how most of club should be "kids" on lower money.

From that list I’d be looking to sign Billy Walters, Reece Hoffmann, Andrew Fafita, Esan Masters, Marty Taupau, Sauaso Sue, Kane Bradley, Ryan Matterson, Matt Eisenhuth, Michael Cher-Kam, Kevin Naiqama.

May as well get the band back together

Yep, he isn’t coming back. He bagged out the club on his way out and I’m sure anyone that was at the club when he left would not want him back.

Career wise he is one head knock away from retiring anyway so best to avoid.

6 hours.. How do you know that ?
Not been rude or challenging you just 6 hours is a long time and you would not want to give too much away to a potential coach unless they are confident etc..
If this is true its a good sign IMO
