Hilarious. It's been so long since I've lived in Sydney.
When I was 17 I played at a ground I think was called Tantallen Oval, or words close to that. I think it may be near Ryde??
Anyway, we used to call it Concussion Oval. It was like concrete and eventually they banned it because a kid litterally had his head opened...woooo that looked nasty.
Noone got tackled, just throw the ball away if you didn't have a support player 🤣

Mate played at concussion oval a few times back in the early 70,s playing c grade for west Pymble. Played rugby on a Saturday and league on Sunday..and usually and scans on a Monday!!,

Cricket ovals like Storey are the worse. Goddard at Concord and Birchgrove sometimes were bad. Also Bexley oval. Studs sounded like your were running on concrete

Mate I did exactly that playing for Willoughby in the late 70's, Sat union and Sun league, school footy during the week. Wow what a small world.
We played against Pymble too I think, were you black and white? or was that Asquith? was it called Kentwell Cup??

What nobody seems to know is when the new coach will be appointed. I hope it's not just before the start of season 2023.

You stayed away from the middle of those and run on the edges. But I still remember getting caught and dragged across the dry pitch leaving gravel rash down my face.

Now if u have watched any of the nsw cup games u would know that there is no forwards worth bringing up , so what the hell are we going to field for the rest of the season , we could see some record scores against us for the rest of the year , god help us poor supporters

IMHO players better than Laurie are (in the order of preference):
Tedesco, T Trbojevic, Ponga, Walsh.

All other NRL FBs are either as good or behind Laurie.🐅

Lodge and Brown would add some aggression that is badly needed..
We need to address the forwards urgently as getting flogged weekly done not help your brand.
