The Eels board will meet on Wednesday and dissecting the diabolical start to the season will be high on the agenda. One of the discussion points will be whether the Eels need a head of football, a position currently the domain of chief executive Bernie Gurr.
There could be changes in the boardroom too. Parramatta chairman Max Donnelly, in his attempts to push through constitutional reform, will consider putting forward a motion allowing previous directors to again run for the board. That raises the prospect of the likes of Denis Fitzgerald, the self-proclaimed Emperor of Parramatta, returning to the corridors of power.

Sounds familiar how is Brooks going without Moses. Norman was outstanding last few years now suffering the same fate.

Any difficulty linking as 1/2s partner will never be the fault of MM. Therein lies the problem.

Are you referring to French? Don't think he will get anywhere near as good as the Great Man. Hodgo pretty much was a gun in every facet of the game. French has speed and that seems to be it IMO.
Would very much rather Mbye than Bevan French.

French seems nothing like the ball playing fullback teams have now days.
 
I think Moses is stuck at Parra for a while
Not sure when his contract runs out
The only club with money who might be chasing a half could be Canberra

As for clubs not wanting to contribute money for a player leaving their club
How about this

Eg Moses Mbye on $900000 next year
We give the Bulldogs Tui for $600000 (value)
And pay $300000 towards Mbyes contract with us
Therefore Mbye will costs the Tigers around $650000 a year till his contract runs out with the dogs

On Paper the Bulldogs save $300000 a year get Tui and save face with their supporters

Works for me

The Dogs will have to pay about half for any player they try to offload. Or else they're stuck with a bunch of overpaid nufties. Even if they pay Mbye 400k a year, they're saving 500k, which could be 3-4 new depth signings. A massive win for them.

They son't have a choice. They're already and no club will pay full market rates for anyone that isn't an elite player.
 
Why the hell would we give the Dogs anything…stuff them with a pineapple...

Our Cap management finally has us in a position of some power in the player market...bugger helping out other Clubs who have rooted theirs...the recruitment team seems to know what they are doing and what a players worth is ..if the player doesn't want to come here for that fine...next..one of the things I like about Ivan's philosophy

BTW....French has his own thread guys I don't know why but he does...

Someone pointed out earlier that this was taken out of context and the original story referred to Norman as the player that Parra would not stand in the way of should he want a release.
 
David Riccio on radio this afternoon suggested if Norman was released by Parra then the Dogs was his likely destination . But they’d have to offload someone like MBye to free up enough cash to make it work .

That would leave the Dogs with

The injury to J Morris would maybe change their minds on that.

He is supposedly out for 2 months than have hoppa move to fullback would leave them pretty short on the centres
