If any backs from the Bulldogs, Parra ect, aren’t a first choice standout fullback..I don’t want them. We are fine for depth, just need a marquee at fullback.

As good as Thompson has gone we don’t have a marquee fullback and both Tui and Thompson have spent the off-season going head to head for that position, as we have more depth at 5/8.
Still unless we sign a top level fullback in the next month. Tui has done the training and in ISP its now or never for Tui at fullback

The fans can't do anythingto stop Ivan from signings players. So if it is a French or Moses we will have to trust Ivan in his planning.

Swag my friend, why would Cleary sign Moses back when, not only for the way Moses left the club, but also given how quickly Cleary took his contract off the table once he got the job. Its obvious Cleary doesn't rate him. Moses has burnt his bridges here, the same way Farah did.

Bulldogs Moses.

the odds of Moses coming back would be about a million to one.
that would be one way to single handedly ruin the culture that has developed.
However I do take your point (re; Ivan ) Swaggy.

I meant Bulldogs Moses.

I cannot subscribe to this whole thing of "Cleary could be good for player x". We've heard it with Carney, Norman, Hayne, Barba etc. Its not Cleary's job to change them. They are grown men who need to change themselves. Packer is a perfect example. He became a better man himself, with no help from Cleary. If they do the same as Packer and prove they are changed men, then lets talk about them. Till then, forget it. Cleary is a rugby league coach, not a life coach.

I’m just gonna say I know it’s an unlikely situation…..

But if Hayne

Just stop right there.

Agreed, stop there sign contract NOW. Get the Hayne on 500K and make him a back utility instead of a star player.
He won't sign for 500K unless the Eels punt him. Easts/Cronulla or someone else will get him. But if we have a shot it should be a no-brainer.

Why Hayne=Yes and French=no. Because Hayne actually has proven performance and has had Rugby pump his ego to hights. French brings his own ego with him and he has only had one fairly good rookie season. Hayne though will suffer because he has been seen as the miracle player. A lot like Nigel Vagana who went to Cronulla as a bit of a star and was pretty hopeless, later went to Souths as nothing and did pretty well. Drop the guy to reserves, get him fighting to play and get the fan turnout. Even as a threat factor (Hayne is on the left, we have to guard his position) he would be worth it.

Were never signing Hayne, so it is mute.

Spot in we’re never signing Hayne nor will any NRL club. He’s struggle in ISP.

Back to granville did anyone see him at the end of the souths game. The bloke was in tears after that loss. Thats the kinda of dude you want around the club imo. Passion, guts and effort

He was in tears cos he cost them the game.

That's Moses' caper.

If we dropped Hayne to ISP he would suddenly walk out of the club.

But if Hayne is being shopped around for 500k you’d be silly if you were Ivan to at least not look into him a bit..... maybe just a meeting and see how he is and if he lacks that motivation or drive leave it as it is

Ivan seems a good judge of character

Hayne at parramatta hasn’t been that bad he’s just been injured, his form was decent

He’s a SOO representative and he only just turned 30

I’m not saying we should sign him, but I’d be disappointed if he was shopped around for 500k and we didn’t at least look at it

As much as I don’t like Hayne you can’t deny his talent

Hayne is one of the LAZIEST players in the past decade and goes against everything Cleary is trying to build. Deadset some of the suggestions floating around here are ludicrous :brick:

As I said look into it

If he seems like he isn’t motivated then drop it right there and then

You never know his mindset as it stands right now

I was excited by Jaydn Su’A being Off-contract at the Broncos. Until I read Issac Moses is his manager.
The Bronco's are flash with good back rowers and will have trouble fitting them all in.
