Thinking a bit outside the square, Super Rugby is in dire straits at the moment, is there anyone that would be worth considering?

Kurtley Beale? can kick goals/ball play

Beale is playing over in England.
I imagine most of the decent RU players here will find new homes domestically - they're struggling for talent, so four teams is plenty to accomodate all the decent players.

If we were thinking rugby players, I would go for Folau. Teddy's money would get him and you would think he must be tiring of poorly performing Waratah and Wallabies teams. His contract is coming up as well.

I can't think of any other team that would have the cash to get him, apart from Newcastle of course.

**Given his finance is a Kiwi**, he may have been interested in the Warriors but they have Roger and he would only get enough money playing fullback.

The beauty of it is it would be easy to get TPAs for him.

If his finance is a Kiwi, does that mean we only need to pay him in NZ $?

Can't believe there's been no talk of Chambers. It's probably 100-1 getting him out of Melbourne, but nothing wrong with making an offer. I'd actually be surprised if Cleary signs a marquee outside back. He might be happy to get by on what he has at his disposel for next year too. Maybe a young guy like Edwards or Holland, but I think that will be the extent of our acquisition's there. We're still one or two forwards short. I'd like to see another back rower added.

Not a chance he is the best centre in the NRL in my view and a real tough guy.

No doubt he'd be an amazing signing, but I think he's pretty happy travelling the world at the moment. Off contract next year though (IIRC), so worth asking about then.

Obviously Folau I just thought I'd get shot down for being unrealistic. I'm pretty sure Beale is coming back next year and would fill some of the holes in the squad, would come a bit cheaper than Folau too.

Wonder if an approach from Wests Tigers is the real reason Alex Johnston is holding off re-signing with the Bunnies. Not as good as Teddy for sure (who is) but he is young, fast and dangerous and our coach is a former top fullback who just might get him to another level.

Also a big diff between winger's $ & fullback's $

Could be worth a shot once Teddy officially closes the door on us

Folau Tedesco

Would be nice, but it's a total dream

Are signings from union exempt from the salary cap or did I just make that up?

NRL has a warchest to help bring a player across. It will only be used for the Titans or Roosters though.

Alex Johnston from the bunnies would be a good Fraudesco replacement.

I do not rate AJ at all. He's a real Moltzen-type footballer for me, doesn't have that core power or drive. I especially feel this way about him at FB, wing he's not so bad.

I think we can do, can afford to do, a lot better in our FB option for 2018.

We're Being linked to Russell Packer again and apparently we are a good chance of getting him.

**NRL Enforcer To Join 'Best Mate' At Wests Tigers?**

Triple M’s James Hooper of Fox Sports has spoken about the Wests Tigers signing frenzy and how Ivan Cleary is turning everything around on the signing front.

He’s got Josh Reynolds, Ben Matulino and now the Tigers are big odds to snare Dragons enforcer Russell Packer.

Hooper thinks making the Pascoe go around the field in a open top car will take the boos away from Aaron Woods on Saturday because the board has forced him out. I know I would be cheering Pascoe if this happened.
