We're Being linked to Russell Packer again and apparently we are a good chance of getting him.

**NRL Enforcer To Join 'Best Mate' At Wests Tigers?**

Triple M’s James Hooper of Fox Sports has spoken about the Wests Tigers signing frenzy and how Ivan Cleary is turning everything around on the signing front.

He’s got Josh Reynolds, Ben Matulino and now the Tigers are big odds to snare Dragons enforcer Russell Packer.

“The Dragons are going to try and keep him. They know he’s been a real enforcer for them and played some pretty good footy for them last year too.” Listen to the full audio below.

Hooper thinks making the Pascoe go around the field in a open top car will take the boos away from Aaron Woods on Saturday because the board has forced him out. I know I would be cheering Pascoe if this happened.

I don't think Hooper has any idea what the fans are thinking. Matty Johns gets it. https://www.triplem.com.au/shows/the-grill-team/content/matty-johns-had-a-message-for-aaron-woods

Packer certainly fits one of our main requirements.

A big tough prop who won't take a backward step, that's the kind of platform our team needs and one we haven't had in our history.

Obviously Cleary recognises that.

He hasn't put a foot wrong yet.

Agreed. You can already start to see how influencial a distinguished coach can be.

Anyone keen on Zac Hardaker to play FB? Wouldn't cost much. Played well in his limited time at Penrith.

That experiment was regarded as a failure and I don't think we'll ever see him back in the NRL.

Don't rate Hardaker. He's a Sam Tomkins clone in my opinion, he doesn't have the skill to play in the NRL. We could do much better with Watson, Lolohea, Gagai or Edwards.

Anyone that doesn't want Packer to join us can get off the bus as far as i'm concerned. If you've got a choice of Packer or Sue you'd take Packer every time.

5 second ago, scooper wanted everyone sacked, now we are the best club on earth.
Is this guy a peanut?

Thats not nice and is completely uncalled for.

Peanuts are a very good source of nutrition and have a lot of benefits for the human body. Next time please think about how a peanut may feel when you compare them to someone like him.

I really do wonder, what Woods and Teddy think about the recent signing moves by Tigers, the calibre of the new recruits.

DT today, loathe as I am to quote them, believe Tigers can still afford the current signings plus the old deals to Woods and Tedesco.

I wonder if they go "wow you guys actually do have some good plans".

As much as I dislike Dugan he "might" be a good option if Teddy leaves, that goal he kicked from the sideline to level the match on Tuesday was a cracker.

Terrific footballer, it's the cost that's the problem. I don't honestly think he's in Teddy's price bracket, but he wants to be.

Still don't get what people see in Dugan.

Yes he can break a tackle, defence not to bad, can take a high ball etc.

HOWEVER - he doesn't pass the ball. Not once last weekend as an example.

Gordon still for mine - he is an 88% successful goal kicker and not a bad full back for one or two years. That would give us time to source a replacement i.e. similar to but not necessarily Edwards, MWZ etc. If Cleary can't teach those type of players to be a good full back then I give up.

No where near Teddy's price bracket, plus it would cost a lot more in rehabilitation.
