Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Good call., Karma has caught up with 2 of the BIG4.
I’ve also enjoyed the misery bestowed upon Woods and Moses post exile. Despite the dream you won’t be playing Finals footy and your clubs are not stronger.
Woods should be made to pay his penance at the Canterbury salt mine over the 4 lonely years that he so desired.

RFM isn’t on big money so the dogs won’t get rid of him no chance

Second rower…. hmmmm well I just watched the titans and roosters game and would love Hipgrave his aggressiveness is so good to watch should’ve seen him go at Fergo all game along with hitting teddy with a bell ringer

Not sure on his contract situation but what do they mean anyways.... just ask Mitch

I hate watching Roosters games brings back painful memories especially when Teddy is firing. Hipgrave seems like a grub, wasn't impressed by him

I don't miss the guy at all. Had four of my young blokes team leading the Chooks onto the field yesterday and made sure none of them had that turncoats hand.

I doubt Woods being shopped around is even about the money. I'd say it's about the culture the new coach is trying to bring in. Woods is not old school Dogs. Never will be.

The knights are the perfect team for him.

Most West Tigers supporters don't miss him 1 bit.

God no, don't even think about taking Woods back. HIs performance on the field is ok but not fantastic, I'd rate him as only average. However, his off field performance last year as captain of our team was pathetic and the culture he was so desperate to leave, but a huge part of, has gone, but he should not be given a get out of jail pass and come back. That attitude and performance should not be forgiven.

His culture is no longer WT, he is a dog now, literally and figuratively. Let him and the Bulldogs lie in their bed. Shop him off to ESL.

Not a great comparison. Dogs have loyalty.

I reckon we should really look at a few forward pack signings, I think we're alright in the front row, it's the second row we need to look at.

Personally I want to see him rot at the dogs and by the post willow made we ain't interested in Woods is great news.

Yep we need one that can bend the line at will. Too many of the same backrowers in our squad atm

Even if Woods never played for us and we knew nothing about him off field.
I dont think he would actually bring more to our forward pack than a guy like Twal or Aloiai.
He does have an offload but i believe the club should look at a young big bopper they can "coach" to play alongside the pack we have.
We have a cracker forward pack this year i dont see woods pushing anyone to the bench or outta the side if he came back.

The issue is whether he would add to our premiership hopes, how much the Bulldogs would subsidise his contract and if Cleary believes he brings the correct attitude to the Club. It is the last issue which concerns me greatly. We've seen how easy it is to replace players like Woods (Packer and Matulino) and Tedesco (Mbye and Thompson) so maybe it is best he continues to chase the $.

You forgot Moses ( Reynolds and Gamble).

A game breaking second rower is what we need desperately! Surely, Ivan can see how much we are lacking here? The guys we have are great and they all do a fine job, but they are all pretty much the same - workhorses in defence and reasonably strong running with the ball, but none of them have that edge that would consistently break the line and put the fear into the opposition - a la Taumalolo, Pangai Jr or Taupau. Even the 'Beast' has gone off the boil lately  Surely there is someone out there we can target, who would be willing to leave their club for good money - pleeease!! 😛ray:

I think Ivan just needs to go out the back and pluck one off the game breaking backrower tree..

It is Ivan. Can't he just sign a bog average plodder and convert him into a gamebreaker?

Yes, his attitude is the problem. He wouldn’t commit. Not on the bus. Let’s all move on.

A BIG NO THANK YOU to having woods back after all he has said about the club when we were at our lowest
Hope he has to stay at the dogs to be a bottom dweller for the whole of his contract
Tigers are a much better team without him

You guys…
Cleary retained him as captain last year when everyone wanted him sacked. Woods leaves and Cleary picks five players to replace him as captain.

Would Cleary welcome him back as our sole skipper again?

NOTE: I’ll pass

Hearing aaron woods hits the market and we are one of several clubs interested

If he's willing to take a pay cut.

I would have Woodsie back no problems. Much better than Sue, Twal , Grant etc. But tne price has to be right, I could understand everyone wanting to leave under Taylor, but i think he would have liked to continue under Cleary imo.

Watched sue yesterday against the jets…hes a deadset waste of cap space,twal....not sure yet, Grant and eisenhuth are plodders
If we can get arron back at the right cost
We should take him
