Thats the point, they are of pretty much the same ability.
Why would you get rid of brooks because he cost so much, in order to purchase Flanagan who is cheaper but no better.
When he goes, lets use those funds to purchase a better player for gods sale.

The point is exactly as you just made yourself, same or similar ability one is on twice as much if not more than the other. Would not be my first preference by a long shot but, Sheens wants Jacko at 13 and i can see why. So if Brooks goes we need a stop gap half for a season or two Madden would have been perfect but this stuffing around forced his hand.
There is no one better available for 23, 2024 yes there are others Moses ect but not now.

Now most likely he’ll get a chance after the development players are allowed to play first grade. But if he’s still struggling, it doesn’t guarantee he’ll play in 24 at the beginning. Not writing him off, but also can’t write him in yet.
