Till the NRL sort out the TPA's nothing going to change much, the likes of the Chooks and the Bronks will sign who they want and most other clubs will fight over the scraps and sadly be forced to pay overs for scraps due to demand.

The Bronks at least bring mainly QLD kids up through their junior programmes. On the other hand the Chooks just plunder the other clubs. If it keeps going the game will die very quickly. Will the NRL do anything, dont think so to many influential people with links to the powerful clubs

What should the NRL do?

Player draft.

Perth Roosters.

Definitely the best option

Why not a draft on all the development players at the end on each year
The 4 bottom teams get the first picks from all clubs
Once they all pick say two players each then the next four bottom teams get to pick theirs and so on
This way the struggling clubs get to pick the best new talent not signed to a top 30 roster
Maybe the nrl can also offer a carrot to players from top clubs who come off contract
Some kind of incentive to go to a bottom 8 club
Maybe some kind of sponsorship for studies in life after football
It's a win for bottom clubs
It's a win for the player to know he can learn a new trade after football
And it's a win for the Nrl who will be known as an organization who looks after and further develops its players in life skills after football
It would certainly lift the game as a whole

Yo I'm gonna fr lose my *you know what* if we don't sign some forwards soon.

Well we are looking at Segayaro
Does that count

News tonight showed Farah saying he feels he might play on. Therefore no Segeyaro. Farah was a dumb recall. He is now a one year prospect at best. Segeyaro would have been a multi year investment.

I’ve said it before, I’ve posted it before - many many good things are happening at our club but IMO recruitment ain’t one of them

Farah should be retired end 2018\. Club decision, not player decision.

Please please please don’t tell me we are returning to players running the club

And also watch the Roosters when they sign players like Jayden Nikorima he was in the paper for signed on value of 150K and in his interview he said he went to the Roosters for alot less to get a start and when he left the club the Roosters now say they have plenty of money for the next guy because Jayden Nikorima was on 350K and they do it all the time when Matterson comes to the Tigers next year the Roosters will report they have 650K left from the hole they have from him leaving

That's exactly what they did with Blake Ferguson. They said that he was staying with the club, re-signing another contract but on less money because he had gotten into trouble in public (no surprise there). One year later, he leaves, and with his money they buy Brett Morris _and_ the English player as well.

But yeah, the same big money interest in these clubs also controls the NRL, so no way will they give up their unfair advantage.

But hang on, hang on,

Do you think we are a chance to get Matterson?? I certainly hope so…

Making a bit of sense there Kingy. Good post!

Segyaro is an ordinary person - I don't want him anywhere near us!!

Another year goes buy and another year we aren't looking for Dynamic Back Rowers, Strike Centres or any class in the Outside backs at all….

I'd be shocked if our best winger, centre and second row pairings were inside the top 14 teams in the comp.

We'd be last or second last at best - Without going through team websites, I can't even think of a team in the comp as poor quality as us in these areas.

Fully fit Liddle will be a far better option than Segeyaro. Dont get the hype from the couple people raving.

He's been in good form for the Sharks the last month or so. I haven't seen any "hype" or "raving".

Alex Sayfarth on a development contact starting 2019 Played u20s NSW and can play in the forwards or as a center. Dylan Smith into the fulltime squad nnet year with Robson also a possibility. (Source Tigercast via facebook)

Not too keen on the idea of the development players all being promoted. From what I have seen of Dylan Smith he is no where near ready for NRL and would be better kept on a lower teir contract.

Ivan will bring in some good signings
His son will be one of them
Ivan wouldn't be letting these players go without a plan
It's not like we can play with 24 players signed
6 new signings to come in
I think we all might be surprised just who comes into our team
I think we have a good chance of getting Merrin
I also think we have a good chance of getting Taupau if he gets a release from Manly
We know he wants one
Barrett may be heading to Penrith if reports are anything to go by
If so Marty may get his release
And he can come and join Packer Taylor and Matalino
His Kiwi forward mates

The only state where uncle nick doesn't have a car dealership. Would limit the paper bags!
