😱pen_mouth: who is offering him that..

Apparently Parra Dogs and Sharks are chasing him.

How can the Dogs afford him?

Because they still have that endless supply of brown paper bags

Obviously they are only in such a dire salary cap mess because some moron at their club accidently included all the cash payments on the contracts that were registered with the NRL

So for someone like James Graham only 500k was suppose to be on the registered contract and the other 500k was suppose to be slyly handed to him in the dark alley ways around Belmore

He won't end up at the Dogs anyway.

The NRL need to make TPAs transparent so everyone can see what’s really going on and then hopefully they’ll put a cap on it so it’s a more even playing field

Blue paper bags.

Mate if the Dogs end up signing a player of Oats calibre, in the financial state they are currently in, whilst we're still scrounging around in the bargain bin, that'll do me!

It will be interesting to see the outcome of the clubs signings as I agree with your sentiments on the dogs sugested
signing of Oats in there apparent financial state.

Till the NRL sort out the TPA's nothing going to change much, the likes of the Chooks and the Bronks will sign who they want and most other clubs will fight over the scraps and sadly be forced to pay overs for scraps due to demand.

The Bronks at least bring mainly QLD kids up through their junior programmes. On the other hand the Chooks just plunder the other clubs. If it keeps going the game will die very quickly. Will the NRL do anything, dont think so to many influential people with links to the powerful clubs

What should the NRL do?

isnt there supposed to be market value test in contracts that NRL assess against before approving the contract and transfer? I can see how the roosters 30 man squad passes this test.

The first thing the NRL should do is grow a set and take the Rorters and Broncos on.How can the Broncos be signing all these players on big contracts remembering they have Jack Bird on a Million dollar a year deal for the next 3 years and are yet to sign TPJ and a hist if there other promising players

Dont expect any action from the NRL they are far to busy with their snouts in the money trough

Yes and Paul Kent was having a laugh the other night talking about it when Ben Ikin was doing the sums of the Broncos team and said there top 17 player's in his sums are over the salary cap Kent said Slater is on the cap at 500K and was laughing about the value of the Broncos Roosters and Storm teams

And also watch the Roosters when they sign players like Jayden Nikorima he was in the paper for signed on value of 150K and in his interview he said he went to the Roosters for alot less to get a start and when he left the club the Roosters now say they have plenty of money for the next guy because Jayden Nikorima was on 350K and they do it all the time when Matterson comes to the Tigers next year the Roosters will report they have 650K left from the hole they have from him leaving

That's exactly what they did with Blake Ferguson. They said that he was staying with the club, re-signing another contract but on less money because he had gotten into trouble in public (no surprise there). One year later, he leaves, and with his money they buy Brett Morris _and_ the English player as well.

But yeah, the same big money interest in these clubs also controls the NRL, so no way will they give up their unfair advantage.

But hang on, hang on,

Do you think we are a chance to get Matterson?? I certainly hope so…
