6 Brooks
7 Johnson

You don't want Johnson as the controller anyway , let Johnson play second fiddle and off the cuff after Brooks plays the No 1 playmaker

Can you imagine Johnson taking on the line the next play after Brooks has taken on the line with his speed ?? WOW

They could cause absolute devastation to opposition sides , you'd jam them on the back foot continually and Liddle /Farah would have a field day and the forwards would look like monsters

Exactly, I've always thought Johnson would make a better 5/8 than a number 7 .. !! Pension Reynolds off as he's been a 3 legged horse his last two seasons .. keep the money we've been offering him and upgrade with Johnson .. !! :stuck_out_tongue:

It might be handy if he had 3 legs. He would have a spare to replace others that are constantly injured.

Warriors set to dump million-dollar superstar Shaun Johnson. The New Zealand Herald is reporting that Johnson’s time in the No.7 jersey could be coming to an end as the club is believed to have told the 28-year-old he can look elsewhere.

The Warriors have signed the former Aust Schools 5/8 from Penrith, Adam Keighran who the Panthers signed from the Bulldogs.

Similar to how nikorima and Johnson were playing in the test match except brooks is better than nikorima.

What does Wests tigers do with Benji?

Why Johnson?
He did nothing in the semi finals when his side needed him most.
He played well against Australia’s worst line up in a decade…..maybe longer, In a team boasting great forwards and a spine that flared up on the night.
I’d be asking the question why NZ Warriors don’t want him at the price he’s at.

What does Wests tigers do with Benji?

Put him in a cabinet marked do not break glass for any reason , unlike the Skandallis glass case which was marked better than any other pretender we had , break even before an emergency occurs

Skando for PM :sign:

Assuming Cleary out and Maguire in what's that going to mean for the roster? Maguire seems to like a bigger middle so ET's position might be in some jeopardy if Maguire can find a quality middle forward with some size on the market. That might be hard to do with Newcastle cashed up and desperately seeking props but is it more likely now that our last 2 roster spots will go on middle forwards? …meaning Momirovski to start at left centre (and almost zero depth at centre)?

Is McQueen more likely to stick around and be given a chance under his old coach?

Madge was coaching souths when they let him go while still under contract to join the titans, so maybe McQueen will want to go, but who takes him

he is a decent player imo and a role model to many, as is benji so i am stuck

SJ is my boy, but I wouldn’t really wanna trade Brooks for him. There’s other clubs in more need of a halfback than us, and more appealing. If the Warriors are serious, expect the Storm, Roosters and Broncos to come calling.

Yeah I remember when he went to the Titans it was pretty amicable though. He was offered a big contract as a premiership winner and origin player and Souths released him so he could go and cash in (and so they could keep Adam Reynolds who the Titans were also after at the time).

I don't know who would take him now at 31 years of age and coming off his last season…

Elijah Taylor and MWZ to Penrith.

Not sure if you're passing on some inside information or just wishing out loud but, as I understand it, MWZ is already on his way back to Penrith along with Grant. I can't imagine Penrith needing Taylor other than for ISP and an occasional NRL cameo but, if they did, they're welcome. In my view he's gutsy and whole-hearted but not a regular first grader any more.

Shaun Johnson still has a year left at Warriors. Benji has a year left with us.

Benji to retire in 2019 and we replace like for like with Shaun to play 5/8 in 2020.

Easy!
