Marty Taupau may be a very possible acquisition….

Hasler wants Foran at Manly, bulldogs would release him if Manly would pay 500k of his 1mil deal which I'm assuming Des would see as a bargain. Unfortunately, Manly's cap is in a terrible state as it stands currently.

This is where it get's interesting Marty's name has been all over the media in terms of who they would get rid of due to cap relief with him being paid good $.

Madge has that Kiwi connection also along with Marty being friends with a few of the boys from his team here and his current and former NZ team mates - we desperately need a Marty type forward to take us to that next level

Dogs would be looking for a half as well and Jrey back to the dogs could be a huge possibility for multiple reasons - which would help us with a huge cap relief

and hey if SJ is available I'd defs take a punt cause when that guy is on..... he's the best half in the comp

Apparently his personal issues mean he wants to leave Sydney. Of course it's all total BS, it's just Isaac Moses trying to resolve his own personal issues specifically not currently having access to 20% of Newcastle's $4.6m.

god help us if we sign another development, are recruitment is a pathetic joke.

I've done a whole thread about this, but the "we aren't recruiting any good players" moaning really is dumb. We've signed Mbye, Matterson and Momirovski in recent months. That is at the very, very least more high-profile recruitment than most clubs have done. It might be more than all of them.

Name three clubs that have recruited better in the same period.

its not about what other clubs have signed its what we haven't signed, we need a top class center we got a rookie, we did get a good backrower, but we need also need a couple of hard nosed props, we got nothing. mybe is a good player, but hes way behind teddy class.

Cheers mate, I hope the forward is a good one, we really should have plenty of dollars to spend on the last 2 spots. I hope there is some horse trading going on in the background as well with players we have on contract who are not what we need

Klemmer wants out of Sydney .. end of story. Both Newcastle and Canberra are showing interest .. but a huge wack to whoevers salary cap is required, if they want him.

There is a video on the Newcastle Knight homepage saying "Signing Announcement today at 4pm" with teasing video of a guy walking away from the camera .. the guy in the video looks like Klemmer .. ??
