Wonder if @THE_POM has updates on Harry Grant ?

Doubt it, nothing to update until C. Smith decides what he is doing. I suspect unless Melbourne win the GF Smith will play on.

I doubt Cam will retire this year. Would’ve announced it by now so he receives a send off. Just a little bit worried that the Storm may force him out the door to make room for Harry after what he said last night

If that were to happen the stink about Benji being forced out will look like a tea party.

The media will act it out as if the Storm are doing the right thing by moving Cam on and giving the young blokes an opportunity. Whereas when we said goodbye to Benji, all we hear is the words “treating club legends poorly”

And our decision is still the right one.... he still has not found a club and that says something. Even K Foran got a gig and he is injury prone and currently has a major injury.. Very Happy with our decision

I can’t say that i am a fan of Huth , when was the last time he made a line break , or anytime for that matter , he is big enough to pull a bull out of the crap but don’t play anything like that

When was the last time any of our middle forwards made a line break outside of Aloiai?

McIntyre for a try off the bench in the middle

Heard anything on his re-signing?

No signing yet. They are offering peanuts at this stage
Less money than this year and he is only just above minimum wage at the moment .
So hopefully they can get something sorted because there are a couple of clubs keen as!

Who are the other Clubs..

Sam may be better off..

There are a couple of clubs in the finals keen, but also a few down the bottom end really keen.
So go to a top end team and maybe just be a fill in or go lower and be a mainstay and improve from there!
But like I have said he wants to stay loves the boys and really rates Madge , that's a main reason why he wants to stay.

Hope he stays as well.. but careers can be short ..he’s had a few head knocks ..needs to take all the cash he can

That has been a thing with him moving up in the grades, always goes in hard and gets knocked about.Normaly head cuts. Then will play for a year or two undamaged.Been 2 hia this yr ,dog shot from the panthers an the unlucky hip contact last game. The other knocks he has come back from.Once he learns the the big game a lot better hopfully his head placement will be better

We dodged a massive bullet with Foran for sure

Of course we could always be a better attacking team ,but Burton ,Staines and JAC aren’t exactly going to make us the Great Wall
Are defence was woeful at times this year.
Tamou,McIntyre and Hetherington would tighten things up nicely.

He will not announce that he is playing on, he wants another testimonial game in the offseason.

We will be big movers in the player market for 2022. Turf Mbye the following year and another $900k presents itself.

We should be pushing for a 5-8 position in 2022 and similar/ better in 2023 if Madge is worth his salt.

don't put it past Doueihi to lock up the 6 in 2021 and we go into the market for other positions. he might be able to hold onto it until a player like Madden, Camroux or Tannous comes through. players like Burton and Schuster or even bigger fish like a Munster seem like a good idea, but we might have the answer to our halves already locked up.

He's the answer, no doubt about it

A good showing last week, he still has areas to work on. Lets see how he is going in the trials.

The aboriginal grape vine , he is still trying to go to souths

Just don't see how Souths can fit him. They would almost have a complete representative back line with JAC included.

and the salary cap is meant to spread talent yet clubs like Souths and Roosters can fill their whole squad with them...absolute joke.

It's got nothing to do with salary cap. Players want to play for good clubs. We have absolutely nothing that appeals to good players. If I was an origin representative I wouldn't even consider playing for WT unless I was paid massive overs.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you, we are not a destination that good players want to come to, but it will only take one or two good players (to break that mould- Tamou is an example) or if we pull up our socks and play well week in and week out- and get into finals then that may change things around here- and a change sure is needed:astonished:

If you say it enough times it becomes true....

Souths wouldn't have any cap room at all. Isn't the head burgi wanting to come back or was that for an English club?

Not sure if you have been hiding but South and Roosters don't have the standard Salary Caps.. They have a special one where they adjust as needed.. :grinning: :grinning: :grinning:

I hope he’s given a position and is kept there. Will do him no good moving him around, if he’s to play 5/8 next season whcih I think he should he needs to be there all season

They aren’t successful clubs because they rort the cap. They’re successful because they’re well run, smart and professional. We are none of those things.

Depends if he can show similar form in the trials, his defence still needs a lot of improvement.

It's hard to differentiate with those two clubs. Yes they are professionally run. And yes they appear to rort the cap. I don't think we've seen them being run professionally when they weren't cheating the cap.

I don't like to accuse people of cheating without proof, especially when we have been done for it.

Fair enough. I still advocate that we did not cheat. There was no intent to circumvent the rules in our actions.

Personally I have no qualms whatsoever in saying that I believe the Roosters to have been cheating for years now. And Souths, I believe they are best described as new comers to that side of the fence.

Raiders however, they're a good example I feel of a club which has been run professionally without cheating. They have done very well focusing on the English imports, probably the most successful club in recent times who don't appear to have any dodgy secrets hidden away. So they are a good example of a club being run professionally, of being successful, and doing it within the cap.
