I’m not a footy trivia master... however I can’t recall a single time in 30 years of watching Rugby League where a winger has changed clubs, changed positions To FULLBACK and also changed that clubs prospects

I would love to see a poll that asked
1. Do you support throwing the cheque book at Ado
2. Do you support gambling and think it’s a part of a healthy life

My hunch is there would be a huge correlation between the two answers

Yes to 1
No to 2

I can think of a person who: changed clubs ( Newtown ), changed positions, second row to wing, and significantly changed the prospects of a club ( Wests Magpies ).

He also changed rugby league. For good or bad is a matter of opinion. It was over 30 years ago, however, it shows that one player can change things.

Any guesses?

I do, loved him at Wests, hated him at Manly, despised him for his hand in super league

Will never forgive him for Super League. - As a player - as Hobbo would say, just a plodder.

Agree with the super league comment, low life bloke, but as a player he played 2 years and 36 games at Wests, scored 26 tries and transformed his career, he played for Queensland, NSW and Australia, he was no plodder

He'll always be a plodder in my eyes and that is giving him a heads up. s a winger I would prefer Warren Boland.

Almost brought the game as we knew it to it's knees.

hopefully that doesn't stifle the Addo-Carr deal and Melbourne can look to sign someone else.

Perhaps they use Sam Burgess' doctor to approve it.

To be fair Sam was on a lot of medication

Most of it not prescribed

I had to google him !

There was a story going around at the time that Singo picked Ribot up from the airport in a flash car when he got in the car Singo handed him a brief case and a contract to sign the brief case was full of $1 notes all new and bounded up and LOOKED a lot of money he signed with Newtown and the rest is history

So we have to get JAC who is actually contracted another year or we have likely a weaker side than 2020, is that right? Seems everyone else has signed. Jee hope we get the man hah! 😬

Wow … get to this thread and read page after page of nothing to do with the subject matter.
Bloody waste of time.

This has turned into the general thread, maybe there should be a new rumours only thread, suggestions and discussions could stay here.

Sometimes it's good to read the banter but there is a lot of rubbish to wade through if you just want the news.

Why is it that Broncos can change their team in a blink, while WT are stuck with seeing out contracts? I f it’s a matter of player quality, how much WT are prepared to pay etc . Then our administration is or has been very poor. And another thing..when players audition for a gig at WT, do they do any physical stress testing? A speed test? Fitness test?
